Matthysse is in rebuild mode. The way he is perceived by the boxing public is very important right now. Likewise with Kovalev...which is why I dont believe he will be in the ring with Dawson, Pascal, or Cloud as someone suggested earlier. I said it before and will say it again. LM is a good fighter but definitely a notch below the true championship caliber that Swift is on...even if slightly.

I am not downplaying anything about Paulie; if he and Alvarado had actually fought in 2009 I think Paulie would have probably won a close decision but now I think Alvarado's power and Paulie's lack of power as well as his slowing down a bit would have given the edge to Alvarado.
So my initial statement still stands...Mike Alvarado is better than anybody Broner has a W over.

Paulie destroyed a fighter in Zab Judah who had a very good performance against Danny Garcia.

Paulie that fought AB or Judah beats Alvarado....and that's not even prime Paulie.

Paulie has always been a B fighter and very good boxer with a nice jab and a great chin. Just because he lost to Porter doesn't mean Alvarado can beat him too. Alvarado doesn't possess that type of power and could not outbox Paulie.

If Canelo or JCC Jr or Swift or AB gained 17 pounds over night fighting a nikka moving up a division N went to war like we saw last night...the outlook on things, the story, would be a lot different from certain nikkas round here

Just imagine @Newzz scoring a round AB getting dropped in 9-9...he'd be attacked ruthless

I'm not calling Paulie a bum but for Broner's defining win to be a lackluster split decision against a past his prime Paulie fukking Malignaggi means there should be no occasion where a Broner fan just dismisses fighters like Rios/Alvarado/Provodnikov like it is just a given that Broner beats them easily when he has yet to beat any above C-list fighter easily.

there was a little trouble in the beginning but nothing king lucas can't handle

Who is hyping Keith Thurman up like he is special though? Everyone recognizes Thurman's potential and are optimistic about the possibilities for him but nobody sucks his dikk like he is a future HOFer or should be ranked high on P4P lists or is some type of dominant top level fighter like has been done with Broner?
And your dismissing Soto-Karass is indicative of the problem with Broner stans...a win over Soto-Karass would be a highlight of Broner's career to the AB stans if he fought him but is used as a slam for any other fighter.
Honestly, all young bucks coming up in this weight class should have a fight against a guy like Soto-Karass who fights ugly and makes you have to work for a win. Its a good measuring stick fight. So of course Broner never fought him.
