He would have to beat a live body to get a belt at 140...we all have seen how quick he bytches out at the thought of facing Danny Garcia, Ruslan Provodnikov would probably beat him to death, maybe he could beat Lamont Peterson or Jessie Vargas but I wouldn't be shocked to see him lose to either guy.
Maybe when Danny moves up The Honorable Brother Al Haymon can fix it so that Gavin Rees is named WBA champ with Broner as his mandatory first defense.

That's the REAL story to me of tonight, but nikkas too busy thinking about Broner who destroyed the man who beat the hell out of Molina.


Matthysse dragged up a 135lber, struggled getting dropped, but people act like its crazy to say that Matthysse hasn't shown enough yet for people to be putting him on that pedastal they have him on.

Looking at Molina last night I am wondering if 135 made him severely drained. He looked huge at 140. Despite the day of weights putting Matthysse as 4 lbs heavier...Molina looked 10 lbs bigger than dude.
That could explain his chin issue vs DeMarco.
Plus before that DeMarco fight, Molina's chin had been solid.
Usually fighters make excuses when a guy like Molina said that fight was a fluke...I kinda believe it.

Hand to Jebus I would take Mike Alvarado over Paulie. I like Paulie and all but lets stop assigning so much status to dude at this stage of his career just because you want to use Broner's win over him to make Broner's record not look like carefully manufactured bullshyt.

I am not downplaying anything about Paulie; if he and Alvarado had actually fought in 2009 I think Paulie would have probably won a close decision but now I think Alvarado's power and Paulie's lack of power as well as his slowing down a bit would have given the edge to Alvarado.
So my initial statement still stands...Mike Alvarado is better than anybody Broner has a W over.
