If B Hop stayed on the outside, I can't see how Hagler could beat him. He would have to take it to the inside, and Hopkins could fight on the inside.

And B Hop def shoulda got the win against against Taylor (who was always overhyped IMO)

to me its a bad mythical matchup. Hagler retired when he was 33? just at or passing his prime. Hagler's legacy was complete. B-Hop's legacy didnt really begin til he was 35-36.

its not a fair matchup because you are talking near prime Hagler vs past prime B-Hop. when you look at it like that...it would be tough for Hopkins to win a fight and look good. it would have to be an ugly B-Hop fight. in their true primes, B-Hop would likely win because of his movement. the reason why we know B-Hop for many ugly and lackluster fights is because he modified his style because his physical prime as been long gone. I mean cmon...B-Hop is almost 50 and he still is gonna beat Murat...a guy damn near 20 years younger than him.

as B-Hop once said in regards to politics preventing his ascension "you've been cheated out of seeing the best of Bernard Hopkins"

Taylor was overhyped but so physically gifted that B-Hop had to be cautious each round. it was a damned if you do situation. B-Hop takes more chance and Taylor would likely beat him easier. If B-Hop boxes him...the judges werent gonna give it to him anyway because as far as HBO was concerned they wanted B-Hop out and Taylor in. Not to mention all the fukkery with DiBella and the lawsuits and shyt.

ironic thing is...by this being on Yahoo front page...its good pub
How did this guy get this article published? He didn't mention one correct fact about why it is on PPV.
Showtime didn't have the budget to put on the fight, so they decided to put it on PPV to have more income streams and try and recoup costs. The card is stacked in fights 1-4 to try to bring more interest and "bang for the buck". Also, the fight won't have to sell a ton on PPV to make money, because the fighters aren't getting Mayweather salaries. The Bradley-Marquez fight had fighters who were getting paid more than Broner-Maidana and was projected to sell 350,000 buys...a number which HBO was going to be very happy with the profit they would make.
