:demonic:Broner will be waiting for him at 147......

To party after beating that Argentinian Lucas Matthysse:blessed:

The random show of disrespect by LM towards Based Broner has made me anticipate Danny Garcia landing that sweet left hook on him and solidifying himself as the undisputed, unarguable best 140 lber:blessed:

#BandCamp is rooting for #swiftset to get the job done, so we can party and pop bottles at the finish line:ohlawd:

#BandCamp

:blessed:

On Sept 7 the #chavezcoalition celebration will be the appetizer:takedat:

On Sept 14 #garciagang #swiftset celebration will be a thanxgiving sized feast :eat::win:

In November #bandcamp celebration will be the dessert:salute:

What a wonderful Thanksgiving feast it will be:ahh:

About Billions and his 3 championship belts at one end of the table. #swiftset at the other end of the table.....with 3 more championship belts. A combined record after their next fights of 55-0 with 40 KOs between them and more to come at the tender ages of only 24 for AB and 25 for Swift:ohlawd:

By Jake Donovan

Not tool long after the date was pushed back three weeks for Adrian Hernandez’ next ring appearance, the defending junior flyweight titlist now also has a new opponent.

Hernandez is still set to make the third defense of his second 108 lb. title reign, which now takes place on August 31 in Mexico City after being pushed back from its original August 10 date. The challenger for the Televisa-televised main event will be Mexico’s own Odilon Zaleta, replacing Atsushi Kakutani, who was removed from the show for unspecified reasons.

The second title run for Hernandez (27-2-1, 16KO) has already lasted longer than his first, in terms of length and success. The free-swinging Mexican won his first belt in April ’11, but lost it before year’s end in a 10th round knockout loss to Kompayak Porpramook in their Dec. ’11 thriller in Thailand.

Hernandez emphatically regained the title ten months later, stopping Porpramook in six one-sided rounds in their rematch last October in Mexico. His showdown with Zaleta later this month will mark his third fight of 2013 – all title defenses - and six within a span of just 14 months.

Zaleta (15-2, 8KO) accepts the fight on short notice, returning to the ring for the first time in more than 10 months. The pint-sized puncher has won four of his last five fights, including an 11th round stoppage of Edgar Jimenez in Dec. ’11. His lone loss over that stretch was a 2nd round knockout defeat at the hands of perennial Top 10 flyweight Luis Concepcion last May.

Appearing in supporting capacity, Irma Garcia puts her unbeaten record (7-0-1, 1KO) and bantamweight title on the line in her second title defense. The undefeated southpaw takes on former reality boxing star Jessica Gonzalez in a title fight scheduled for 10 two-minute rounds.

Both fights will air live on Mexico Televisa.
We got a FIGHT on our hands gentlemen :obama:

I just can't see timmy staying with TR if he beats marquez. the only reason he signed that tr was to get that fight with manny. i think he knows thats he's he has a strong chance with in mayweather sweepstakes once he leaves TR.

http://espn.go.com/blog/dan-rafael/post/_/id/4903/shafikov-inks-deal-with-top-rank

Russian lightweight contender Denis Shafikov is ready to campaign in the United States after his recent signing with Top Rank.

The 28-year-old southpaw's first fight of the new deal will mark his American debut when he takes on Santos Benavides (23-3-2, 17 KOs) of Nicaragua in a scheduled 10-round bout on Aug. 17 in Laredo, Texas. The bout is on the untelevised undercard of the show headlined by former lightweight titlist Juan Diaz facing Adailton De Jesus.

"He's a solid, top 10 lightweight that can also fight at 140 pounds as well," Top Rank vice president Carl Moretti told ESPN.com. "He can fight in either weight class. He's a world-class guy who would give anyone a heck of a fight, if not beat the top guys."

Shafikov (32-0-1, 17 KOs) had been fighting at junior welterweight but dropped down in weight earlier this year and defeated Alisher Rahimov by 11th-round disqualification. Shafikov was way ahead on the scorecards at the time of the DQ. Rahimov was a solid opponent, too, owning wins against Sergio Thompson and Rustam Nugaev since 2010.

In his previous bout, in December, Shafikov scored a one-sided 12-round decision win against junior welterweight contender Albert Mensah.

Moretti said that Shafikov's handlers contacted Top Rank about making a deal because of their interest in having him fight in the United States and the deal was done quickly with the assistance of Steve Bash, a Southern California promoter who is fluent in Russian.

"His people reached out to us and lightweight is a weight class we really like," Moretti said. "I think the plan with him is to take a look at him first hand with the fight on Aug. 17 and make an assessment. And after that give him one or two more fights this year, if not a bigger opportunity. For us, it was a natural signing, a natural move. He's willing to fight anybody at 135 or 140."

Ural Boxing will continue to co-promote Shafikov in his overseas fights.
'At-a-boy Arum, sign a top guy, have him on an untelevised bout :snoop:

So we have Wilder fighting on Friday, does beating an aging Liakovich make him a legitimate heavyweight contender?
Jennings and Adamek are in talks and then there's Arreola v Mitchell.
Is the American heavyweight landscape showing signs of recovery or is it still :deadrose: ?

No, it doesnt make him a serious contender legitimately..but in the eyes of the general public...probably so. Wilder has the talent but I doubt he will get to be much more than a guy who makes a few million bucks UNLESS he seriously tightens up his craft. He is a BIG work in progress.
