Terrence Crawford vs Yuriorkis Gamboa being discussed for undercard of Cotto vs Rodriguez Oct 5th?!?!?!?! :dwillhuh:

HBO don't want Rigo but they're going to have this boring motherfukker stink out the joint again?

That being said, Rigo can open up more on offense. He has the talent to do more than he does but he fights almost too cautiously. I remember when he got upset at Rico Ramos for faking a rabbit punch and proceeded to destroy him less than 10 seconds later

breh...number of fights dont mean shyt. look at Zou and what they are doing with his ass. he will make 500k for his fight with Ortega and by the time he fights his 3rd fight...that fight he will be paid more than Rigo made against Donaire. Not comparing the marketability just proving that number of fights has nothing to do with it.

I agree that Rigo is not a very marketable fighter...but for his promoter to double talk him is not right. His promoter's job is to do just that...promote him to the world. Find some decent fighters that will make him look like a monster. Pay beltholders a decent purse to defend against him. Or....simply say...we cant promote you, its best we do an amicable split. Just dont hold a guy's career hostage and act like your hands are tied because HBO said such and such. Bullshyt.

Its other networks he can get on and stay active. 3 fights a year at $250k aint nothing to sneeze at and i am sure Rigo will accept it if he is getting paid regularly. Sitting on the shelf waiting for a million dollar pay day aint good for a guy in his 30's fighting in the lower weights. His advisor and manager need to be raising pure hell about this.

this zou shiming shyt blows my mind...dude is gonna be a millionaire by his third fight...dude is all speed...sloppy amateurish offense and leaky defense..i swear these mexican journeymen must be :upsetfavre: at having to be part of this circus arum is leading...i hope they are getting paid well for this shyt...it would be funny to see one of them go into business for self and really brutalize zou though:pachaha:

Zou is trash..and they are talking about him against Viloria within a year. If Viloria were to lose to a guy as raw and as ancient as Zou (they are both 32)
then he should retire immediately.

Zab Judah was able to withstand Matthysse N get the W....a Zab Judah that wasn't even all that busy during the fight either...I can easily see Swift making Lucas Easy Work:smugbiden:

Don't sleep on Team Garcia's ability to put together a game plan....they knew Khan was gonna come out guns blazing N they would have to weather the storm early N adjust to his speed N look what happened

All we heard from Judah was he's left hook happy....come fight night Swift was out countering Zab N landing huge rights the whole damn fight

Matthysse is a beast don't get me wrong but he can be beat...you can still control his ass with the Jab....he still basic af stumbling over himself at times....hes gonna get hit...he's fought what 3 1/2 RDS this whole year that might hurt him N He looked like a fukking zombie at 141 N now gotta lose one more pound

Garcia goin be the underdog N that's good:demonic:

Gamboa is always dangerous than a mug. Still, I believe Crawford has the goods. If this fight comes off, I expect Bud to win and that will likely (hopefully) be the last time you see Gamboa stink out the joint as a featured fighter.

Dante Jardon vs. Gamaliel Diaz is Set For August 10th - Boxing News
By Miguel Rivera

In a very important fight for both boxers, Dante "Crazy" Jardon (23-3, 19 KOs) will defend his super featherweight Continental Americas title of the World Boxing Council (WBC) against tough countryman and former WBC champion Gamaliel "Platano" Diaz (37-10-2, 17 KOs) on August 10th at the Auditorium Square Condesa in Mexican Federal District. Televisa will broadcast the fight. Jardon is on a three fight winning streak and Diaz was lost his WBC crown to Japan's Takashi Miura after getting stopped in the ninth round.
Looked kinda bad against Miura, but he should bounce back......maybe......

Yea I think Rigo has enough power to be a bit more aggressive, let alone his defense is 2nd to none in comparison to anyone around his weight class. Gamboa comes from the same school, but he knew early on as a Pro you had to add more dimensions to your game, and at the end of the day excitement does sell, but it doesn't mean you gotta be a balls to the wall brawler either. If Rigo can find that balance then he's in, but he's also already 30 plus.
