the point is to annoy the basketball morons that make up most of the coli, not to hide alternative sports away from the main forum, at least from my perspective
but maybe this is for the better. time will tell etc after all i wasnt a fan of making a main boxing thread![]()

Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., who is scheduled to return on September 7th against Bryan Vera at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, was ringside in Tepic, Mexico to support his brother Omar Chavez - and Julio appeared to be weighing well over 200-pounds according to ringside observers. Chavez is known for dropping unrealistic amounts of weight before a fight, and then blowing up by 20-pounds [or more] after the day of the weigh-in. There have been rumors in Mexico that Chavez's return has been pushed back several times because the boxer has not been training. The fight with Vera is taking place at a max of 165-pounds.
WTF just happened, we just got removed from the sports section into a sub forum?
For the record, I will NOT be posting outside of THIS thread when it comes to news and videos
In fact, I might do like R=G and only post vids to my wall and have it to where it's not open to everybody.......I don't know, we'll see.........
THIS is where the boxing fans are and have always been, not out there with the "Mike Tyson would've knocked Ali out in like 3" crowd![]()

Who asked to be moved into a sub forum?
i dont know why some of you think is some sort of demotion. we saw the mma and boxing threads were extremely active so theres obviously a lot of posters on here who are interested in those sports and thought they were deserving of their own forum. if you dont want to post threads then thats your choice you can post in this thread just as you always had. idk why subforums get disrespected...imagine if we told tsc they could only have a official thread and not their own subforum with their own mod.
if the existing threads about boxing are trash then hopefully some better ones will get posted now that there's a space for them, if not and this subforum fails then we'll just move everything back but atleast give it a chance. like i said, theres alot of people immensely interested in these sports so a little sub community seemed natural and would only help to grow interest in the sports now that threads wont get overun by a million kobe/lebron threads![]()
Who asked to be moved into a sub forum?
If there's a million kobe/lebron threads, why aren't they moved? Why not tighten up in the coliseum?
If Basketball is so popular, give them their own subsection, put us back at the top of the coliseum main page, and let's see how they like it...
For the time being I'll go along and try and make this section prosper.....but MMA fans and boxing fans DO NOT MIX, that's a major fukk up IMHO.
Why do you think TSC did not want to be paired up with them?

Adrien Broner Lies To Fans About Next Opponent
By Brian Ethridge - Posted: 07/04/13 09:25PM EDT
Adrien Broner ducking Matthyyse?
Immediately following his close win over Paulie Malignaggi, Adrian "The Problem" Broner told his fans that he would take a public poll and fight whoever they wanted to see him beat next. The poll results were made clear with the majority of fans stating that they want to see him in the ring against Lucas Matthysse.
However, it does not sound like Matthysse will be Broner's next opponent. Instead, Showtime is forcing a fight against hard punching Marcos Maidana.
"It's a fight that we like, and [if Golden Boy can get it done, then] maybe it could happen in November or December of this year," Showtime vice president Stephen Espinoza said.
Not too many people actually believed that Broner would listen to his fans and fight the toughest opponent out there. However, people were at least hoping that he would face a challenge. Maidana is a powerful puncher, but his boxing skills are limited.
Maidana seems tailored made for Broner because he comes forward and can easily be out boxed.
Maidana has three losses on his professional boxing record and none of those opponents were as good as Broner is believed to be. He lost a split decision to the relatively unknown Anriy Kotelnik in 2009. He lost a unanimous decision to the weak-chinned Amir Khan in 2010. And in 2012 he lost a unanimous decision to the soft punching Devon Alexander.
If Maidana is Broner's next opponent, "The Problem" will enter the ring as a heavy favorite. He would also likely enter the ring as the favorite against Matthysse, but not by much. Unlike Maidana, Matthysse has some boxing ability and a lot of ring smarts to ho along with his one punch knockout power.
Heck, we would rather see Broner take a rematch against Paulie Malignaggi before taking a fight with Maidana.
