Why does Pac have to fight in the US where the tax went up on international fighters to 40% when he can fight in his own neck of the woods and still charge US viewers the usual rate for ppvs??

Allan Green Six Pounds Over For Eleider Alvarez Bout - Boxing News
By Luke Furman

At today's weigh-in, light heavyweight contender Allan Green (32-4, 22KOs) was six pounds over the contract limit of 180-pounds for tomorrow night's fight with undefeated prospect Eleider Alvarez (12-0, 8KOs) at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Green came in at 186-pounds, while Alvarez was two pounds under the limit at 178. Green will have to give up 20% of his purse, $3,000 dollars, to Alvarez. This is not the first time that Green came in overweight for a fight. The fight will be televised as the main event of ESPN's Friday Night Fights.

Former featherweight champion Billy Dib will be featured on the show against battle tested Mike Oliver.
Gotta work but I can't to watch it Saturday morning...fukking Allan Green :snoop:

Gonzalez vs. Segura Finalized For August 17 Showdown - Boxing News
By Rey Colon

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, undefeated flyweight prospect Jonathan 'Bomba' Gonzalez (13-0, 11 KO's) will reappear on August 17th at the International Ballroom of the El San Juan Resort and Casino of Isla Verde in Carolina, Puerto Rico and the opponent is the former 108-pound champion of the WBO, Mexico's Giovanni Segura (29-3-1, 25 KO's).

According to reports, another prospect from the same division, McWilliams Arroyo, ranking seventh in the WBO, could be active on the same evening against an opponent to be announced later on.

Gonzalez, 22, ranked sixth in the WBO, in April won a unanimous decision over Francisco Perez in brawl held in the Federal District in Mexico, and is on track to a title fight against Juan Francisco Estrada.

Segura, 31 and knocked out Ivan Calderon to win the 108-pound belt in 2010, succumbing in May to a unanimous decision loss when he faced Edgar Sosa for the WBC silver flyweight title.

The Mexican veteran challenged then WBO champion Brian Viloria in 2011 and was stopped in the eight round.
Flyweights do NOT want to deal with this dude, he gives everybody a tough fight. Surprised they're taking this risk but I guess they're banking on the youth factor :patrice:

Kompayak Defends WBA Title on 8/1 Against Koki Eto - Boxing News
by James Goyder

Thailand's Kompayak Por Pramuk will make the first defence of his WBA Interim Flyweight Title
on August 1st when he takes on Japanese boxer Koki Eto in Bangkok.

Kompayak (50-4) put in one of the finest performances of his career to win the belt by stopping Venezuelan Jean Piero Perez in six round in April and the 31 year old will be a strong favourite against Eto (13-2-1).

The Japanese fighter is coming off back to back wins over Thai fighters including the previously unbeaten Denchailek Kratingdaenggym but also tasted defeat at the hands of Panomroonglek Kaiyanghadaogym in 2011.

Kompayak is a former WBC light flyweight champion, a belt he won by beating Adrian Hernandez in 2010 but lost ten months later after being stopped by the Mexican in Toluca. He has not lost a fight in Thailand since 2002 with his only two defeats since then coming on foreign soil.
Sort of disrespected not being in a lot of top 10 flyweight lists, he and the winner of the Segura fight would be DOPE...
