Anbody worried about Manny's inactivity i'm actually scared that Rios might be able to pull it off, he's not the fighter to fight not crisp and sharp, and we know Manny is stupid to be drawn into a slugfest, especially with pressure from his ko and hbo:manny:

I weill be curious to see how Manny looks when the inevitable 24/7 airs...see if he is serious about boxing again or if he is just resigned to being :flabbynsick:

Cotto went back to Arum? :what:

Ugggghhhhh.

I was hoping he would just beat the snot outta Victor Ortiz in September and keep working through GB.

Why when he has big money fights with Martinez or Pacquaio, Cotto is about his money

Pac is fighting Rios already (and may end up losing) and Martinez isn't fighting until next Spring though.

Him signing to TR doesn't really make much sense at all.

What about Chavez or GGG:obama:

He have options upon option right now with TR/HBO, and he knows Floyd is about to ruin Canelo so its no point waiting around for that, and that was GB only legitimate fight for him. Cotto is smart he won't lock himself in no long binding contracts, he'll jump ship again when the time is right like history has shown with him, he aint the number 3 ppv fighter and is making Manny Pacquaio money for nothing

I can't (or maybe just don't wanna see him) jump in there with either of those two guys. Especially Chavez, he's just way too big.

I actually think a post loss to Floyd fight between Canelo/Cotto isn't really a bad look, especially if Cotto wins in Sept against whoever the hell he fights.

It would be big money and Canelo hopping right back in there with a name would be a good look on his resume. Cotto isn't what he used to be so it wouldn't be super dangerous for Canelo as a post loss fight either.

I dunno, I just hate Arum/TR so praying this isn't gonna happen.

Is canelo truly a draw like Mayweather stated on their presser we wouldnt know who the fukk h was if Maweather didnt build him and stick him on his undercards, he's never had a PPV when Cotto is proven, Cotto is smart he'll make sure he chose a rock solid draw fighters that had their own ppvs, and more importantly a title, he always stated he wanted a MW crown before retiring. He can beat Martinez and maybe GGG, but needs to stay away from Chavez

Naw bro, he is a massive draw and has the biggest Mexican following currently. THATS WHY Floyd has put him on the undercards on the Mexican holidays-to boost his own numbers. Notice how for the Guerrero fight, there was no Canelo on the undercard and the PPV underperformed. Its no coicidence mayweather fights mexicans on mexican holidays with mexicans on the undercard in order to profit off that demopgraphic.

And Cotto is not beating Martinez, GGG, or Chavez Jr. He needs one big $ fight and then off to the sunset he goes.

Richard Scheaffer On Canelo and a weight penalty:

“There is of course a very stiff, huge penalty if he were to come in overweight; well in excess of a million dollars. But there is no [limit] after the weigh in. He has to do 152 and after that, there are no limitations. I read in some places that [said]there's a next day weigh in but no, there's no next day weigh in”

On Canelo's ability to make weight;

“You know Canelo came in for Austin Trout at 153 1/2 and he was eating hamburgers the morning of the fight. You know he's never had a nutritionist so I think in a way it’s actually going to help him to make him even sharper because he will now get a nutritionist and he will have the right nutrition and strength and conditioning. So I think in a way it’s actually a plus for Canelo to go to 152”:smugfavre:

So you dont think Cotto cant follow the blueprint and do to Martinez what the tune up Murray did to Martinez:patrice:

I think he can possibly beat Martinez, depending on how shot he is after all these injuries and the layoff. But I think Cotto beating Martinez is definitely realistic.

GGG looks like a monster though. Haven't seen too many of his fights but I think Cotto would get beat if he steps in there with GGG and I'm a diehard Cotto fan saying that. :ld:
