How do we know that, when he has not faced the competition to test that?

Davis has fought lots of decent opposition, numerous times, heck everyone at that level is very good (Rollie perhaps not, but thats a huge 135 fighter compared to him, landed a few too.)

He just hasn't fought the top, top names aka the 50/50 fights that are at the next level of difficulty/risk, or at least taken those fights when it mattered.

Shakur and Lomachenko both have belts at 135, a regarded champion boxer is going to try and get those belts and knock them off (ducking from all parties aside.) Davis won't ever fight Lopez or Haney, they're almost at 147 now, but he had the chance to when they both had all the belts.

To be truly regarded you need to fight the big names. Whether his fault or not he's had the chances to go for it, but it didn't and hasn't happened.

Exactly, I love how Tank fans love to look over that. Waited until Loma was "extra seasoned" to then now ask for the fight. Tank literally had a verbal fight with Floyd because Floyd wanted that matchup 5 years ago. Tank said "Floyd was trying to set him up". Hilarious

He is these nikkas OGs what are you talking about? Even his peers consider him the best. What world do you nikkas live in? Loma was never a public darling to say the fight was bigger back then. Tank is at his peak impact wise, and Loma is still Loma, so how is the fight not bigger now?
