PBC move like they only care about having bread and fights for their big big guys everyone else gotta get it on they own. It's cool but not good biz.
Would be dope if they could do maybe 3 every 2 months, where one event is lesser names available via subscription on Amazon prime. People getting paid, staying active and names being built up.

18 events seems like a lot though, not sure if it's feasible, but they gotta do more. Too much talent on their side

Waiting for Gary Antuanne Russell to make a return. He needs a step up in 140.

Don’t know what’s their long term plan
The generation where they had a thing going is getting old and either semi-retired now or just in the last few years of their career and past their prime. Charlo bros, Wilder (is he even with them still?), Spence, DSG, Lara, Thurman, LSC…

In terms of current and top guys and top prospects they are thin. They couldn’t sign any of the blue chippers and the guys they have who belong in the elite of the sport right bow are just a few (Tank and Benavidez).

Tszyu and Fulton are two legit high level guys who have a chance to carve out a nice career for themselves but atp both coming off of losses.

Fundora, Cruz, Barrios, Stanionis, Ramos, Lubin, Figueroa are nice but never gonna be elite imo.

GAR showed some promise but the guy is fighting once a year even while still young just like his brother.

They are hyping Moton but he’s just 17 and doesn’t jumps off the screen as a super talent.

Martin is nice but has a questionable ceiling, we’ll se what he can do against Tank.

Finally there’s Morrell who I think is their best up-and-comer, he looks the goods and out of all their young guys he is the one I’d bet on the most to ever reach the elite.

Cruz is a bigger star than everyone at 135-140 not named Tank

Canelo holdin 168 hostage is gonna hurt Morrell

What do you base this on? If he’d be that big wouldn’t he headline cards at least?

Canelo won’t hold up 168 for much longer imo, if a challenger goes the IBF route who he doesn’t want to fight he gonna vacate it. But they are probably the only organization that would try to make him fight a mando regardless of politics.

you've never been to a fight where he is on the card I assume lol

and Morrell is the WBA Regular Champ, so I don't think IBF route is possible at this point.

Being at a fight of his isn’t really a proof in itself though, viewership numbers more like it. Not to be a dikk about it just don’t understand why isn’t he a headliner if he’s bigger than reliable headliners like Haney, Loma or Teo, it doesn’t sound rational.

Bad decision to go the WBA route imo, ttey are one of the most corrupted organization, of you are a smaller name/the powers that be have no interest in putting you up against the Super champ then good luck…

I dont think you understand the economics. PBC leans more on gate with PPV being icing on the cake, TR runs low cost events and leverage ESPN having wider reach so viewership isnt like for like.

Sold out tmobile arena for Canelo yet just as many people in their rocking pitbull merch > loma and haney struggling to sell out MGM or whatever in vegas with tickets that cost 1/3 that of the Canelo fights.

So wouldn’t it be better if he headlined a card and sell out an arena on his own if the interest is so high?

Why waste him on a Canelo card then that would be a full house either way?
You are saying they care more about arena attendance than viewership but in both cases if he’s such a draw it makes no sense why he doesn’t headline :yeshrug:
