If it's in Cali or Vegas, you get the Mexican fanbase out. What's the point in having two West coast fighters who aren't SUPERSTARS fighting in Brooklyn with just a WBC belt on the line?

MGM would have been ideal for this fight since it's a smaller venue....even the Mandalay Bay.

Yeah i didnt understand the Canelo logic, i need to look at last years boxing schedule because i really doubt vegas didnt have any fights a month out from canelos

Canelo fought in Mexico in May but he fought Charlo in September. There were definitely no fights at the MGM or T-mobile within 3 weeks before or after September 30th.

I know Shakur fought De Los Santos at the T-mobile on the 16th of November and then Benavidez fought Andrade at the Mandalay Bay the 25th of November.....but I'd imagine that was different.
