160 was and still is complete trash that's why BooBoo left.. there was nothing worth staying for.. a 40yr old Lara that ain't fought in 2 yrs holding a title now don't change that fact... neither does some Euro hypejob named Jabbaneck with 14-15 fights that scrapped up a couple belts off a bum and through email.. The highlight of 160 in 2023 was Liam Smith vs Eubank fights.. The last fight at 160 of any significance was Canelo vs Jacobs 5 yrs ago

nikkas forget GGG fought Ryoto "Goulamirian" Murata instead of Andrade and Andrade petitioning the WBC for unification :mjlol: The same Canelo fans that say he ain't fought nobody would've called Janibek a bum like they're saying about Benavidez beating him. Just a shell game of protection while guys like Munguia turn down multiple title opportunities and get rewarded because he bent the knee.

Yeah... That's why I said I hope it isn't true that Spence is playing with that man's money. That's not cool, regardless the outcome of the fight.

Errol Spence made $25 million from the Crawford fight. NO fighter is going to pay a trainer nice percentage of that regardless of the outcome. That's why so many fighters/trainers split once they get the big pay days. We've seen it with GGG, Jacobs, etc.

They should have discussed this before the fight.

Tank has always made his money from Gates not PPV. Damn near Every Tank fight sells out, can we say the same for Ryan? Being a star is a two fold thing, Canelo sells out (or damn near close), AJ pre Saudi events the same. What did Ryan's last fight in Houston do? I went to multiple tank fights and them shyts are jammed packed. All I`m saying is Im starting to think we are over estimating Ryans "Stardom" OR Tank killed that nikkas career.

IDK how I`m having "baseless conjecture" when you can go on ticket master yourself and see that shyt is not selling. Regis vs Devin when it comes to gate is trending to have done more.

PPV numbers matter more than Gates, stop it lol
And money at the Gate never tells the whole story. Tank sells out the arena... and what size is the arena?
And any fight have have high priced tickets that don't have big headliners. This Tim Tszyu vs Fundora fight has floor seats that are $1200 a pop, and neither are a big star in America

Tank sold out TMobile, Barclays, the spot in DC, State farm in ATL. Ryan hasn't sold out anything before or after tank so I'm going to say Tank is what sold out that gate

And how many ppvs has Ryan had before tank and what did they sell?

Dudes talking about Derrick James getting cheated for payday:mjlol:

DJ just trained Errol for Terrence, Charlo for Canelo and is now training Ryan for Devin, Frank for Tank. Back to Back in the biggest fights. It might be some L's but its L's to great fighters with big paydays :umad:.......pimps and hoes :mjpls:

at the end of the day with the economy, folks simply don't have the bread to put up for fights that aint moving the needle (which is very few lol).

IMO you either do it in Vegas at one of these hotels or a Mid Market that you can sell affordable tickets to and sell out.

If something is going to be PPV you gotta have a stacked card or at minimum a bit time co main.

Right now there are not many stories in boxing that get people excited. TBH Devin vs Ryan should have been in Cali like they did for Regis or Atlanta or Miami where they can tap into the social media folks and entertainers.

Hotels in NYC are more expensive than Vegas, and then the tickets for this fight cost more than Devins last 2 fights, and it isn't a unification.

TBH I feel Devin going to PR this summer for PR Independence Day to fight Matias or even doing that at Hulu Theater during PR Parade weekend is something that would have really good ROI plus a story to sell.

Ryan vs Devin story line is they went 3-3 in Amatuers (who fukking cars), Tank beat both they asses, and Ryan going Crazy on Social media.

That is a tough sell to get get someone to drop 300 on nosebleeds (and even more if they have to fly there or get a hotel) or paying for the PPV and not bootlegging it.

Tank vs Frank in ATL, Miami, or Houston sells out on the Main Event alone. Add in the Benevidez rumor then LA at Crypto or Vegas it sells out too adding the Mexican factor.

Yup, Ryan was right.....this fight had no business being in NYC.

If it's in Cali or Vegas, you get the Mexican fanbase out. What's the point in having two West coast fighters who aren't SUPERSTARS fighting in Brooklyn with just a WBC belt on the line?

MGM would have been ideal for this fight since it's a smaller venue....even the Mandalay Bay.
