on top of the numerous issues that have got in the way of spence vs crawford. we all know what they are and its the reason THIS fight cant wait or marinate any longer..its literally one of the few superfights left in boxing

I’m not going to lie, I never paid much attention to a lot of the LDBC boxing guys, but I’ve been looking at their videos lately cause I’m boxing news starved — and legitimately most of them are terrible. Fannon = terrible. Fumbling all over his words, inarticulate, etc. Blue Blood = terrible. If I hear “superstar boxer” one more damn time, inarticulate. Dude videos primarily be him giving the tale of the tape like he’s Jimmy Lennon Jr. or some shyt. Showbizz seems alright, but if I watch enough of his videos, I’m sure I’ll find some shyt I don’t like

Undisputed junior welterweight champion Josh Taylor has a lot of options - but it appears that he won't hold all four of the major belts at 140-pounds for too much longer.
Last week, the World Boxing Association (WBA) held a purse bid for Taylor's mandatory fight with Alberto Puello. It was won by TGB Promotions, on behalf of Puello, and they were the only bidder present.
And now the World Boxing Council (WBC) has ordered Taylor to begin negotiations with their mandatory challenger, Jose Zepeda.
Back in February, Taylor retained his belts with a controversial twelve round split decision over Jack Catterall, who was the WBO's mandatory challenger.
According to the WBC, their mandatory is scheduled to be next - based on a pre-existing agreement between the four sanctioning bodies, which doesn't explain what is going to happen with the WBA's position.
If Taylor and Zepeda fail to reach an agreement, they will head to purse bid.
"As per prior communications and with the agreement which all four presidents (of the WBC, WBO, IBF, WBA) confirmed in the meeting held in Puerto Rico, the WBC mandatory defense is next, followed by the IBF," the WBC explained in a statement.
"The WBC is hereby advising of the beginning of the free negotiations period for the Josh Taylor´s mandatory title defense versus Jose Zepeda. If no agreement is reached the WBC will conduct a purse bid on Tuesday, May 24th."
After struggling in his recent fight with Catterall, Taylor discussed a likely move to the welterweight limit of 147-pounds, but now it appears the Scottish boxer could remain at 140 for the moment.
