That would be a helluva table setter for a showdown with Spence

facts

and real talk, Thurman vs Bud should happen first, because I know damn well these nikkas ain't gon fight the man afterwards. The biggest problem is the sport moves too slow. Fans should be able to get that Thurman fight in the summer and Spence in the winter and be happy. nikkas get pissed because they know these new nikkas ain't built like that to be fighting Thurman and Spence back to back in the same year, so we would prolly just get one fight this year.

Top Rank using Angulo as a Slump buster for Berlanga

Remember when y’all told me Angulo was a decent opp?? Choc remembers

Felix Trinidad Confident Amanda Serrano Will Topple Katie Taylor

Three division world champion Félix 'Tito' Trinidad is well aware of the atmosphere during a fight card at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The venue was the Puerto Rican star's second home, with six big bouts taking place at MSG.

On Saturday night, his countryman, Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano, will collide with undisputed lightweight world champion Katie Taylor of Ireland.

It will mark the first time where two women will headline a card at Madison Square Garden.

“The mentality (of Serrano) should be the same one that she has carried for all her fights, which is to be very focused. She should have the mentality that she is going to fight to win. That should be the mindset of every fighter. We are not invincible, because I suffered three losses, but I always went up (in the ring) with the mentality of winning," Trinidad told Carlos Gonzalez.

It will not be the first time that Serrano (41-1, 30 KO) has found himself under the lights of Madison Square Garden, but not in the main event. In 2019, she fought Eva Voraberger and later faced Heather Hardy. Both of those fights were held in the at the Hulu Theater, a smaller venue within Madison Square Garden's complex with capacity for some 5,000 people. On Saturday, Serrano will headline the big room.

“I can say that there is a difference between being one of the prelims and being the main event fighter, because it carries more responsibility. It is the fight that we will all be watching, for the world title, and that Puerto Rico hopes will obtain that great victory. We know she will win," Trinidad said.

Trinidad was impressed with Serrano's work ethic. He had the opportunity to see her complete a training session in Puerto Rico.

“I saw her training at the gym in Cupey and it was very good. A lot of speed, the physical condition was excellent and that was three weeks ago. She will win and that's what I see that going down in the fight, she must impose herself and who knows [she might win] even by knockout."

The contrast between Canelo and Fury, two of the biggest names in the sport is striking
One is retiring (or fake retiring, whatever) being just one fight away from an undisputed fight but floats circus fights with MMA guys that nobody who actually follows the sport care about.
Canelo who has already done more in the sport plans to stay 6-7 years longer and is about to try and be undisputed in 175 after he did it in 168, also excludes BS cross-sports fights.
