Now that Haney has taken the fight, why is there speculation about what Eddie Hear shoulda done?

I just want to see the fights.
Why? Because he couldn't secure the fight, as a result they've parted ways. That's a pretty big development.

All i want is the fight too. Why? Because i'll be ringside for both of them. Hometown.:takedat:

hope Devin knows going into enemy territory he's gonna have to win those rounds CLEAR

The Greeks do not play when it comes to supporting their own. They'll be there in force. Melbourne's Greek community is the biggest population of Greeks outside of Greece itself.

Add in the rest, shyt is gonna be buckwild.

TBH i'm not expecting 80,000. More like 50,000. When he won the last fight i went to Greektown in the city to soak up the victory against Lopez.

shyt was crickets and tumble weeds.

Casuals don't fukk with lightweights like that tbh. The sport isn't all that big here anymore. :mjcry:

nikka is fukked up in the head… his story won’t end well hopefully he doesn’t pull a Chris Benoit N he only takes himself out

i remember a while back in a Devin Haney interview they asked him about Teo and what it has been like trying to make a match with him.

He got real serious and said "I think theres something wrong with him..." and he didnt seem like he was joking at all.

Which is more popular in AUS, MMA or boxing? When Adesanya vs Whittaker happened at the same venue they did around 60k and they were the two biggest MMA fighters in that region.

MMA is huge.

Boxing not so much.

Heavyweights are popular, Tim Tsyzu is popular, but it drops off a lot after that.

You gotta remember this is a big, backwards island on the other side of the world, with a predominantly white population.

It’s highly influenced by the internet and what’s popular overseas.

That being said, the population is thirsty for sport, particularly in attending, big, marquee events. Melbourne goes HAM for attendance, more so than other regions.

Genuinely intrigued to see what the final numbers are.

You know what i meant.

Does Haney have power like that anyway?

Nah I didn't know what you meant because I don't randomly say shyt without putting things into proper context so I expect the same from others. :francis:

Knockouts are more about putting the right punches together consistently, then having KO power. If you needed KO power to stop somebody, half the knockouts in boxing would stop right now.

but to answer your question, Haney has enough power. Its up to him an his team on how they plan to apply that power an everything else that goes with it.

Oh okay, it's like that.

Lopez went for the knockout against Kambosos, it didn't go well at all. That was the reference. Pretty straightforward. If Haney follows the same approach, as you said, you think this is a good idea?

I don't disagree at all regarding KO, one of the best trainers i had instilled that in me early on.

But Haney isn't traditionally a knockout fighter, exceptionally skilled, can adapt, extremely adept at most, if not all things. Knockout fighter? Perhaps, but personally i think he would be better suited to adopting the same approach he has always had, rather than training for a knockout.
