I'm just saying , some of these guys don't even have an official fight or fight date set
or are in perpetual limbo fighting mandatores and/or lackluster competition
meanwhile he's already drafted up 3 fights for Canelo , 2 of which are champions for belts he probably won't get back
i mean I guess kissing up to Canelo is a way to get some $$$ in your pockets , but Eddie spending more time securing fights for a man not signed to his stable , vs all the guys that are ..
how can that sit well with all the guys currently signed to Matchroom boxing?
Canelo is signed to Matchroom for 2 fights and they are working on a 3rd, he's their fighter for now. Whyte has been working with them for years and years without any contract. So have numerous other fighters, Canelo has indicated he'd like to stay with Matchroom, they couldn't do the Plant fight for Undisputed so that was the exception, afterwards he came right back. In the future Canelo could well go elsewhere again but for the next 2-3 fights he's a Matchroom fighter and possibly longer. It would be short sighted to treat Canelo as some kind of outsider just cause he's not on a multi year deal, as I said some are years, some are by fights and some as I mentioned aren't even officially signed are fight by fight based. They aren't neglecting the rest of their stable cause of signing Canelo, they will still be out, but Canelo officially is huge business as by far and away the biggest U.S star currently. Also have to take into account Matchroom also got their fighters such as Callum Smith, BJS and previously Fielding and Jacobs fights against Canelo, now Bivol, GGG and possibly Ryder. So having a good relationship with Canelo helps everyone, sure Canelo might win, but at least they get the opportunity and pay day. The Matchroom fighters are generally extremely happy overall, they get paid and treated quite well, they have a good reputation with their fighters, will be much less lawsuits etc than with some other companies.
