Chavez Jr: Jake Paul is Garbage - I'm Gonna Knock Him Out!

Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is gunning to secure a showdown with social media star Jake Paul.
Both men were in action last month.
Paul (5-0, 4 KOs) scored a brutal sixth round over former UFC champion Tyron Woodley, while Chavez Jr. (53-6-1, 34 KOs) bounced back from defeat with a ten round decision win over David Zegarra.
The Mexican boxer, 35-years-old, is so confident of victory that he's willing to stake his career and his compensation.
“I assure you I will beat Jake Paul’s ass. I want it as winner-takes-all when I fight Jake Paul. Winner takes all the money. Jake Paul is garbage. I’m gonna knock him out," Chavez Jr. stated on social media.
Chavez Jr. wants to redeem himself after suffering an expected decision loss last year to 46-year-old UFC icon Anderson Silva.
Paul, 24-years-old, was scheduled to face the first boxer of his career in Tommy Fury last month. That fight fell apart when Fury withdrew with a broken rib and chest infection. He was later replaced by Woodley.
The unbeaten Paul is very interested in the fight and he's considering the scenario of facing Chavez Jr. next.
“It’s interesting. I like that fight a lot, because it silences the critics,” Paul said to Chris Mannix. “He was a former world champion, and I know I could beat him. And you look at his record, it’s like 50 wins or something, and I don’t even know the losses, but it’s a good record. So that challenge excites me and I’m down. And this is what people don’t understand is that, even after I knocked out Woodley, they were all like, ‘Fight a real boxer.’
“I’m like, ‘You guys, I tried, and he dropped out of the fight two weeks before.’ So I want to fight a real boxer, newsflash, and I’m going to. Just have some f------ patience.”
