Otto Wallin is Ready, Willing To Fight Whyte if Fury Negotiations Fall Apart

Dmitriy Salita, promoter for heavyweight contender Otto Wallin, explains that his boxer is ready and willing to face the very best in the division.
Wallin was scheduled to face Dillian Whyte for the WBC interim-title in October, but the fight was canceled when Whyte withdrew with a shoulder injury.
Whyte has since received a mandatory shot at WBC champion Tyson Fury - but the two sides are deadlocked in their negotiations to finalize a fight.
If their discussions fall apart, Wallin is more than ready to step in and fight Whyte, says Salita.
"Otto Wallin has already shown himself to be one of the best heavyweights in the world," Salita told Sky Sports.
"He was scheduled to fight Dillian Whyte on October 30, and was on his way to the airport when the WBC interim title fight was postponed. Now if the fight between Tyson and Whyte cannot be agreed, then the fight to take place is Otto vs Whyte."
Wallin's only defeat was a twelve round decision loss to Fury in September 2019. In that bout, Fury sustained two very severe cuts from Wallin's punches - and there were moments where many at ringside felt the fight was in danger of being stopped due to Fury's excessive bleeding, which in turn would have given Wallin a TKO victory.
Salita feels his fighter has significantly improved since that meeting two years ago.
"Otto is much improved since his very close fight with Tyson Fury," said Salita.
"He landed more punches than Deontay Wilder and Wladimir Klitschko put together when they first shared the ring with Fury. He has become even better, adding two more wins since the Fury fight, and is ready to fight the best."
