to me its a pick em fight. if Peterson could box, he could win this fight easy. if Matthysse would be active throughout the entire fight he could win easy. likely neither will do what they should do so it ends up being a tighter and closer fight.

I lean towards Peterson because he can take Matthysse's punch and I believe will be more active. I dont have much faith in Matthysse winning decisions, he just dont step on the gas enough for me. Its like he runs a 800m race at the same exact pace the whole entire race.

thank you

its not a cherry pick fight. I think some here think I was knocking the fight. Its the perfect comback fight IMO...I disagree with B-Hop. While Rios will have some moments I think ultimately it will be a one-sided affair, thats where I disagree with B-Hop. Otherwise, its the perfect guy, with a name and a guy that Pac can get back in the win column against and look like the Manny of old doing it. He is going to look really good against Rios. If he doesnt, he should retire.

:childplease:

Stop flip flopping.

Rios isnt going to lay down until he dies in the ring, Pacquiao doesn't have that grit anymore, he let a LWW pillow fisted Bradley break his will throughout the course of the fight. Rios will stand there and deliver his bombs and Pacquaio chin will get tested the fight is a toss up

TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Tuscaloosa heavyweight boxer Deontay Wilder was arrested in Las Vegas on Saturday on charges of domestic battery by strangulation.

The Tuscaloosa News reports Wilder was held in the Clark County Detention Center before posting $15,000 bail.

The report also says Wilder had attended Saturday's Floyd Mayweather vs. Robert Guerrero fight in Las Vegas and was arrested during the trip.

The Daily Mail reports Wilder appeared in court on Monday and is due to appear again on July 3.

The website also said his trainer Jay Deas says he does not know details about the case. Deas says Wilder has returned to Alabama, but the trainer has yet to speak with him about the incident.

Wilder, a Tuscaloosa native, currently holds a 28-0 record. He won the bronze medal in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

the real hiphop.
your inability to call it like it is never ceases to amaze me.

Measuring stick for them? NO.

What it is....is a nice paycheck for Rios and THE BEST possible TR opponent for Manny to look GREAT against. No more, no less. After a critical beating I can hear HBO now proclaiming that Manny is BACK!

This. I can see Manny gettin a late round KO on Rios meanwhile Lampley damn near crying, screaming like he did when Oscar KO'd Mayorga.

Overrated, maybe. Overhyped, definitely...unless you consider them both the same thing. He is a good puncher but he is not true championship material. He has too many ways he can be beaten and he doesnt have the motor of a true champion. Not talking about a belt holder, anybody can get a belt nowadays. He basically took an L against Judah and didnt learn from that mistake and lost the same way to Alexander, but not stepping it up in championship rounds or fighting consistently every second of every round. I think he could KO Garcia, but still wouldnt favor him in that fight.

Dude doesnt know how to adjust. He fights the same way from round 1 to 12. He was getting the shyt boxed out of him before he knocked Mike Dallas out.

Right...like Mayorga was really something special at that time. Manny Steward was very critical of Mayorga in that broadcast saying he was an overhyped fighter and wouldnt have beaten Forrest the 2nd time had Forrest not had such a bum shoulder.

Like I said, if he ran an 800m race bet you he would finish the same way he starts....and its not like he comes out the gate blazing.

:wow: ok. we shall see. maybe you are right, but if it is a toss up fight and happens to be close....I am serious, Manny need not set foot back in the ring against ANYBODY...much less JMM or Floyd. maybe do a chippie farewell joint in the Philippines and be done with it.

Peterson will win because Matthysse wasted his time sparring with pups, he's not even trying to go after the B CLass fighters in his division, if he thinks he can waltz in and run through a top level 140 pounder like Pederson he's in for a rude awakening.

SN: Matthysse power is overrated as fukk, he beat a small Ajose from pillar to post and still couldnt deliver a real stoppage. Ajose also had no problems touching him up, Peterson is 4x the fighter of Ajose. IF peterson dont get buzzed early he'll break LM down with the body shots on his way to a UD

Not necessarily, Manny is young enough to take a year break and have a reemergence, if Manny losses it'll be because he is dumb enough to be lured to Rios fight which is a slugfest, doesn't mean he'll fall into that trap again with a JMM in the 4th match and have the rug pulled from under him, and the switch flipped

I am gonna go out on a limb and say that 50 is going to be a better promoter than people think. Dude is a true snake with true street hustle (the reason why GBP made Bernard a partner). His early career has looked shaky but I like him as a promoter moving forward.

Mayorga was special just not disciplined, he was the perfect specimen at WW with disconnect power, blinding speed, unorthodoxed swings, and shredded to the gills. You cant be no bum beating prime Forrest back to back although I feel Forrest is slightly overrated, He was beating Mosley before the KO, knocked down Trinidad and made Trinidad bring the big guns out, beat Fernando Vargas and put him on his ass, and the flabby n sick version nearly dropped Cotto, and gave him all hell, the only person that outclassed him was ODH and that was because he pissed Oscar off, one of the hardest fighters to beat when angered

Mayorga always have to get slighted for whatever reason, had he not had a promoter like King, he could had stayed active, and been super sharp like in his WW days even as he moved up, but he lost the love with the fukkery he had to deal with
