its unfortunate that Floyd missed the Trinidad, Quartey, DLH WW era, hell, Shane barely made it himself in time to get DLH. the guys that Floyd supposedly ducked...none of them ended up being great fighters.

One of the few fighters I would say that Floyd couldve fought was Kostya Tszyu...but if you say Floyd ducked him, then you have to say Shane did too.

What makes things worse with Floyd is half of the names like a Morales or Barrera wouldn't even mention his name and floated a few pounds from his division, even Winky priced himself out of a Floyd match, people talk about Mayweather ducking but truth is he was the most ducked fighter until he became money

Barrera and Morales wanted no parts of Floyd. Actually, Shane had his chance too but people were favoring :moneymay: to beat Shane. Shane had his sights set on DLH. Not a legit Shane duck but definitely Shane was in a more marketable position so there was no need for him to risk his status as P4P which he became when he beat Oscar.

WBA Executive Vice President Gilberto Jesus Mendoza has updated Fightnews.com on the status of the super welterweight division. “Floyd (Mayweather) has never been stripped of the title of WBA super champion. This condition is not automatic with unification. We refer to rule #6 definitions, specifically for unified champions, and rule #18 which establishes the powers of the presidency to create these super championships.”

According to Mendoza, Mayweather asked special permission to maintain his status and the Alvarez-Trout was approved under special conditions that the WBA will explain later. More to come…
