nikkas watch 1 Floyd Mayweather fight all the way through

And become boxing experts the next morning. :heh:

I'm not a boxing scholar... But some shyt Im hearing is pure comedy.

nikkas said Mayweather would give Sugar Ray Robinson the beats, because Sugar got double digit losses :childplease:
http://www.the-coli.com/coliseum/111355-sugar-ray-robinson-his-prime-floyd-mayweather-jr.html

I dont like to compare athletes from different eras. That being said....Floyd would have a hard time with prime Sugar Ray Leonard...much less Sugar Ray Robinson.

said "if the fans want to see that fight [Mayweather] I will come back and beat him"

I was at my folks home because my stepfather ordered the PPV and there were people over, she was saying that Floyd was a punk for moving. Then again, she is heavy into religion and was rooting for Robert. I wanted to say that the great Satan was going to win, but I figured I'd be respectful.

.....:deadfat:

Paulie Malignaggi, Adrien Broner in vulgar exchange in front of women, children at promotional press conference, advancing fight June 22 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn - NYPOST.com

George Willis

LAS VEGAS — Paulie Malignaggi vs. Adrien Broner for the WBA welterweight championship, set for June 22 at Barclays Center, is an intriguing bout that should garner plenty of attention in the days to come.

But neither fighter distinguished himself yesterday during a promotional press conference at the MGM Grand that was spent exchanging vulgarities and degrading women.

Instead of talking about their matchups, Malignaggi and Broner spent most of their time discussing their sexual conquests, with Broner accusing Malignaggi of striking a former girlfriend and Malignaggi suggesting the incident occurred during rough sex.

A boxing press conference never will be confused with a church social. There can more trash talk than at a waste management convention. But even Richard Schaefer, the CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, thought the language was inappropriate, especially with women and young children in the packed ballroom.

“I didn’t particularly appreciate that,” Schaefer said. “There were some kids here and some females. It was a bit over-the-top. It was really not necessary.”

It was disgusting. Broner (26-0 with 22 KOs) has won titles at junior lightweight and lightweight and will be moving up from 135 pounds to challenge Malignaggi for his 147-pound title. Both like to talk and it was expected they would disparage each other’s skill. But Broner got off-topic at the podium by suggesting he was sleeping with one of Malignaggi’s former girlfriends. It ultimately escalated to the point where Malignaggi was showing the media semi-pornographic pictures of the supposed girl on his cell phone.

:russ: awesome

yeah, stopped him in two rounds...and he talmbout if the fans want to see that fight again damn near 15 years later.

I did used to like Manfredy as a fighter though. He was a damn good technical fighter...but he was slow. Certainly way too slow for Floyd.

Yup yup, truthfully the fight was stopped prematurely, but to see how shot/chinny he was after the stoppage, made me think the ref did the right thing, cause Floyd was a massive puncher then

SN: I felt Manfredy(no matter how Floyd quickly whipped his ass and dispatched of him) gave the first clue on how to trouble Mayweather though, may is susceptible to a jab when he switches from the on his bicycle counter punching style, to ready to get his opponent out of there boxing punching style, Cotto was able to improve on this when Mayweather tried to go for the kill around round 5 and started touching him with the jab and busted his nose......

Manfreddy was that nikka back in the day, but lost that fire when he turned his life over to God, and stop doing that demonic shyt

SN: They dont build fighters like they used to back in the day, we talking about Angel fukking Manfreddy, besides the hype jobs like Canelo and Broner, is young fighters being talked about and given a platform to show themselves to the world like a fighter like Manfreddy, will we remember the rugged b/c class fighters 10 years from now:snoop:

 oh man if only paulie wasn't slippin...the fight itself would be more intriguing because the trashtalking has been gold

I think Paulie intimidates Broner for whatever reason, the shyt talk is usually Broner's game(no matter how hard he struggles), but it has been extremely comical watching Paulie have a instant rebuttal for Broner's childish snide remarks and 4 or 5 jokes to shyt on Broner on top of that. Paulie had me cracking up Saturday he was shytting on that man with ease and sat there with the :smugfavre:

SN: I dont think Paulie is slipping yet, he just has the habits of fighting down to the level of his competition, and overlooking fighters, similar to Cotto. Paulie already has the mental battle won, thats half of the battle, it will be a tough ugly fight

not like they used to do...most of us who post in the boxing thread regularly know who they are because we go out of our way to look for them..i mean showtime does its thing with showing younger fighters as well as ESPN with FNF...HBO only showcases them as a filler or as a supposed light touch for somebody on their roster...they only take a vested interest if the light touch manages to put on a show or pull off an upset..best current example of course was Bradley-Provodnikov
