I hate when people do that shyt. "You're not a real fan if you find _________ boring". STFU

and this is coming from someone who actually thought last night's fight was entertaining

Its kinda true though
Damn near anyone likes a slug fest
But only real fans of the sport will notice and appreciate the other shyt

there was zero intrigue. there was very little excitement leading up to the fight. Ghost didnt have any standout moments.

however, watching Mayweather render a world class fighter like Guerrero helpless and shut him out basically was a work of art. I wasnt on the edge of my seat, but I was surely entertained.

First things first fukk all y'all who dipped outta here halfway thru the Mares fight to go to the "official ppv thread" I felt dumber jus reading some of the posts in that thread :stopitslime:

I was on the record of not liking Ghost as an opponent but seriously at the time who would be acceptable?? Canelos best win was Sugar Shane:flabbynsick:

Watching Floyd whoop dudes ass the way he did at age 36 having not fought in a year, after errybody claimed he lost his legs and speed :lawd:

There Is nobody out there right now that Floyd can fight where he will get full credit even at his age...

:deadmanny: still sleep
Martinez :flabbynsick: N at 154 weight drained
Ginger... GBP hype still "green"
Khan glass jaw :sadcam:
Garcia... unproven, small cuz he fights at 140
Alexander:russ:
Etc etc etc

I wanna see the Canelo fight by next May....after he disposes of Cotto there are no money fights left for the kid N it would be time to cash out...Floyd can fight whoever the fukk he wants in September as long as Canelo is after that :birdman:

I was at my folks home because my stepfather ordered the PPV and there were people over, she was saying that Floyd was a punk for moving. Then again, she is heavy into religion and was rooting for Robert. I wanted to say that the great Satan was going to win, but I figured I'd be respectful.

That clown even said that Frazier and Foreman was the only worth mentioning in Ali's resume :pachaha:

People don't understand what kind of upset Ali-Liston I was........it's easily as big if not bigger than Douglas-Tyson

That's one thing in the Ali movie I hated, they never shown the audience what kind of monster Sonny Liston was, it was just implied. Much like they shown Foreman to be a monster, the movie would've shown how Ali's career foreshadowed itself with Ali being the major underdog in 2 bouts at two pinnacles of his career against 2 terrorizing figures who most thought would dominate and probably stop him.

And in the face of adversity, in and out of the ring, Ali would rise :blessed:

As far as the whole ppv is concerned, I was entertained. Every fight was good. Floyd's fight with Guerrero wasn't Vasquez/Marquez but I wouldn't call it boring. I've seen worse. It was a solid domination over a good fighter. I can't call Guerreo anything better than that. I'm glad I didn't pay to see that shyt though.

Abner Mares should be in everybody's p4p top ten, hell maybe even top 5. Dude has beaten so many top fighters with different styles it's crazy.

the 3 most intimidating fighters ever....

Jack Johnson
Sonny Liston
Mike Tyson

you can mention George Foreman but I dont think he struck fear in the heart of his opponents like the other 3.

the reason why it's not considered bigger than Tyson-Douglas is because the mainstream didnt know who Douglas was and plus he lost to Tucker for the title and Tyson took that title from Tucker. Did I think Douglas was gonna beat Tyson? Hellz naw. But people who knew boxing knew that Douglas had a lot of skill but just never came in shape. Also, we kinda knew Mike was skating on thin ice with all the personal issues and rumors of him not training seriously. We didnt think Douglas would win but all the signs for upset were there. People thought Liston was going to annihilate Ali (just a joker with a big mouth). lol.
