im trying to understand why hooker who signed to pbc is going to be fighting on a golden boy card?

Especially cause he just signed there and hasn’t even fought with PBC yet

Ortiz gonna hurt him, we've seen Hooker in with both a face first, limited pressure guy (Saucedo) and a more well versed, more skilled one (Ramirez) we've seen the difference in outcomes. Ortiz is the skilled type and he got more power on his shots than Ramirez. Probably gonna take Hooker out in 6 rounds or less.

Yeah I expected him to face someone like Lipinets or Jamal James next, it's kind of surprising his name brought up with Ortiz. PBC only does co-promotion if it's an expandable guy or sometimes if it's a mandatory. Hooker is not a high profile guy or anything just kind of surprised because they just signed him, thought they have their own plans with him instead of letting him go over and get knocked the fukk out by one of the biggest hopeful of their rival.

Good step up for Ortiz though, I hope it happens

one thing i will say about hooker is that i thought he would wash out..he surpassed my expectations...he became a champion..he took 4 zeroes in a row while being undefeated before losing his zero to his 5th undefeated fighter he faced..and even then he was even/competitive with ramirez - so he has some momentum on his side

if ortiz knocks him out, hooker is going to have to be rebuilt though

in this case i think there is a plan by pbc for having castano fight on dazn..lets be real teixeira might be the shakiest world champion in boxing right now outside of jamel herring...castano taking that belt off him sets up an undisputed fight at 154 on the pbc side
