Lennox gave him all he could handle in return, though. My point was really about how uncompetitive most of his career was. The Lennox fight was the only time he went life and death with someone. Other 46 fights is just him beating dudes up.

Man Lewis came into that fight like a damn slob. It was something like 5-1 or 4-2 to Klits at the stoppage, but honestly I couldn't see Vitaly winning the fight after the 2nd round. He had Lennox rocked but couldn't finish him - it seemed after that round Lennox woke up and didnt give a fukk about Vitalis power. Conversely Lennox fat ass was what sustained all them shots he ate from Vitali, it was a good stoppage tbf, a few more rounds and either a cold knockout or eye gets destroyed (even more)

Vitali honestly is a 50-50 fight for any heavyweight that ever laced them up for the simple fact he was as tough as a $2 steak. Was he ever even seriously hurt by anyone, I remember watching him fight thinking the guys chin was made of steel.
I agree, vitali was a great fighter. Hate that his injuries stifled his greatness

Sadly, Vitalit resume still better than any active heavyweight now though. :hhh:

Remember you had nikkas thinking Wilder would beat OG Tyson, while having the pitiful resume he has now with 10 title defenses.

:francis:at least aj fighting top 10 heavyweights consistently and stepped up early. The other 2 were knocking out bin men or going on drug binge hiatus :francis:

AJ by far has the best resume at HW and arguably a Top 5 Resume in the business. I took relish in his defeat against Ruiz just due the UK Stans being OD Annoying and delusional..but the man took that defeat with no excuses , retooled and handled business in the Rematch. Femi is a true champion through and through. I hope he beats Fury to be honest.

Fury comeback was great but yeah aj shown to be legit champion and adjusts well even though he had a late start to boxing
