S&C can definitely take someone who never has worked out in a similar fashion and make them faster or stronger which is what he did with EJ, idk what you mean.

Do you mean someone who already is in the gym or an athlete can’t benefit from a strength coach?

:dwillhuh:

exactly what I said they can make you faster/stronger but if you don't have right genes you will be slower/not as strong as someone who has good genetics for that.

You said explosiveness and athleticism is genetics. But then also said a S&C can make you faster and stronger so which one is it? "Athletic" and "explosive" is subjective so it's wrong to say they can't make you either.

When people refer to explosiveness and athleticism they essentially mean how quick can your body go from 0-60 im whatever sport it is you play basketball/track/boxing whatever. If it isn't in you genes to be explosive you aren't going to be it no matter hard you train for it. Can you get better? Absolutely. Does your "better" make you come close to someone who has the genes for it? Nope.

You and Usain Bolt could train the same way, eat the same calories, rest the same amount of hours but you ain't beating that man in a race.

Swift throwing 700 punches, solved half his problem.

Now he has to work on being explosive. That's what truly held him back against Spence and was the difference to me. Danny needs to develop the ability to rip off combos and press on the fly quickly. There were times where he'd back Spence off with a couple well timed shots, but he'd always let him regroup. Then when it was Spence turn, he'd back Danny off with a shot or two and then run off a bunch of combos pushing Swift back even more. Basically making it hard for Swift to reset and go on the attack again.

Its not just about letting your hands go, its about letting your hands go at the most opportune moments. Exploding during lulls or when a guy wants to take a breather are examples. Angel might not be the one to train Danny on this, but it needs to be done. His game is lacking that part. Its not like Spence threw 1200 punches on some Pac shyt.. He threw just enough during the right moments to offset and beat up Danny.

Swift got a lot to think about going forward.
His footwork is the reason why it’s not like that. Watch his feet for a couple rounds he never steps into his punches because he cares to much about power and not enough about getting punches off, same with Broner. They stand still and don’t move when punching ever so they are not in position to actually throw most of the time, especially if somebody is in and out,

That's also why Danny never had more than a punchers chance. Spence moves a lot better than nikkas in here give him credit for.
