Swift throwing 700 punches, solved half his problem.
Now he has to work on being explosive. That's what truly held him back against Spence and was the difference to me. Danny needs to develop the ability to rip off combos and press on the fly quickly. There were times where he'd back Spence off with a couple well timed shots, but he'd always let him regroup. Then when it was Spence turn, he'd back Danny off with a shot or two and then run off a bunch of combos pushing Swift back even more. Basically making it hard for Swift to reset and go on the attack again.
Its not just about letting your hands go, its about letting your hands go at the most opportune moments. Exploding during lulls or when a guy wants to take a breather are examples. Angel might not be the one to train Danny on this, but it needs to be done. His game is lacking that part. Its not like Spence threw 1200 punches on some Pac shyt.. He threw just enough during the right moments to offset and beat up Danny.
Swift got a lot to think about going forward.
