Broner's too small for Canelo. I saw him in Miami and dude is tiny in comparison. I think his peak weight class is maybe Welterweight. Canelo's going to be a Middleweight / Super Middleweight down the road.

You really don't think Canelo wants a Mayweather fight? Hell...I want a Mayweather fight :heh:

Broner walks around at 154 though he's young so he'll continue to grow, contrary to a small older fighter like Floyd. Canelo's cap weight class is probably 160 seeing that he doesn't have the size to move up further, nor power the latter which is overrated as fukk. People forget last year Canelo was a WW himself

And no Canelo doesnt want no parts of Floyd as of now, he's never headline a ppv so team Floyd will lowball him and rightfully so, being that he probably could 3-5 mil fighting the Cotto's(number 3 boxing ppv seller) of the world, he will milk this train as long as he can, cause after Mayweather beats him, that money is not gonna be there anymore. Canelo has the luxury of sitting back and taking fights thats winnable, while the Pactards build him up and place him on a pedestal, after being lightweight exposed and all Saturday

I can see if Floyd was 26-27, but Floyd by the time this Showtime contract ends will be around 38-39, not necessarily the best age to fight a then 25-26 year old prime Canelo. I love Floyd, but I honestly think if Canelo was an easy, very winnable fight, he would fight him in September and not Lamont Peterson or Danny Garcia (whom Schaeffer is already making mention of). Floyd is about business and I think he sees May 3rd 2014 as a prime date for that showdown. Floyd knows Canelo's got a huge Mexican fanbase. So he hasn't headlined a PPV, but neither did Hatton...but he brought a huge fanbase. I don't think Canelo is scared at all to fight Floyd, and truthfully...nobody really ever is more than some coming to try to win (Cotto) and some merely coming for a check (Ortiz, Mosley).

As far as Broner, he's listed at 5'8, but I know that's bullsh*t because I myself am 5'8 1/2 and I was noticeably taller than him. He looks about Cotto's height (barely 5'7) with broard shoulders, but very small frame. He may walk around 150-154, but I don't think he's going to make any huge changes in his physical appearance because it's only going to slow him down. Both Canelo and Trout came in at 171-172 the night of the fight (which is usually a Jr Middle / Middleweight fight night weight give or take) Floyd himself was around 148-151 (Fight Night) while at Lightweight as well but that was and is pretty much his peak.

learning his brand slowly?:skip: canelo has had 43 pro fights..he needs to step it up
We all know that Canelo's 43 doesn't mean very much. Just like Chavez Jr's 48 didn't mean much. He does need to step it up. Canelo needs to get quality fights under his belt. He just doesn't need to step all the way up to the best just yet. I understand why people want Canelo to be thrown to the wolves. He hasn't truly earned his place in boxing. But he's only 22 :deadhorse:

There aren't many people of note, if any, saying Broner shouldn't take soft hands Malignaggi when there are beasts waiting for him at 140.

Maybe Canelo can develop into something great and we can get a better fight from Canelo against an Andre Ward or whoever he fight when he eventually goes past 154.

The Floyd/Canelo fight is the biggest possible fight, but since when has that been a good enough reason to do it? :aicmon: :deadmanny:

Floyd fans should know the value of the 0. Protect it at all costs. Because after, people just don't care as much.

Canelo should be off Floyd's list and vice versa.

You know who should be on Floyd's list though? Sergio Martinez...

When will people stop giving Angel Garcia a pass. People are acting like Zab's ignorant ass is all to blame for the shyt storm yesterday in Brooklyn, but when a 50 year old man is saying "I'm from Philly, I don't care if you kill me!" while his son sits quietly by.

I wonder though...........with Cotto's body work.............Canelo is NOT gonna like that

it's intriguing to say the least, does Cotto have one more big one left in em, will the young Mexican destroy the aging Puerto Rican future Hall of Famer? (yeah I said it)

I'ma give my predictions to these weekend fights soon, but first...for absolutely no reason at all....

One of if not THEE strongest lil man in boxing history.......built like Ippo Makunouchi :leon:

50centwbabelt.jpg

Famous rapper/promoter 50 Cent was in Panama City last weekend visiting WBA Headquarters and WBA executive vice president Gilberto Jesus Mendoza where they spoke of their plans in boxing. 50 Cent was presented with an authentic WBA belt and also a very expensive special limited edition WBA watch. “I am very happy, I didn’t expect such a big thing to be declared a world champion,” commented 50 Cent.

He later attended a fight card at the Roberto Duran Arena where he posed for photos and signed autographs for fans in attendance. Unfortunately his fighter Celestino Caballero lost a split decision in the main event.
