These dudes just need to accept they won't get 10 million + not even against Canelo. Easy to point at Jacobs' purse but Jacobs has been featured in a big fight before unlike any of these guys. If the biggest fight you've ever been featured in was J Rock, Uzcategui, Lemieux, or Groves you can cry about your double digit millions all you want it's not something you will realistically get. Derevyanchenko is the only guy who fought in a legit big fight with Golovkin but he is a non-English speaking, niche guy so he can't realistically get anything close to 10M either.
Anyway... some of these guys are thinking they hold better cards than they really do. If they ask for unrealistic amounts based on earlier precedent they gonna get themselves fukked and they won't even get that 7M or what that they could have gotten. If they want those super paydays they need to separate themselves from the pack somehow cause extorting money out of Canelo won't work.
Yea, fighting Lemieux would probably get Canelo some backlash, but nothing he hasn't seen before and it's not like he ever gave a fukk about that, so... it won't work.
Especially now with the new situation, limited or no gate.
As for Golovkin he decided to fight Szeremeta instead...
