Morales beat Paquiao so clear the first time, that there was really no need for a rematch. However, it was probably the biggest money out there, so I get it.

Morales/Raheem was terrible matchmaking. Going into the fight, I thought Raheem was going to outpoint him, but that they would give Morales the decision, considering Morales/Pac 2 was next. Well, Zahir beat him so bad, that they couldn't even rob him. I was watching Zahir very closely at the time, so him outboxing Morales wasn't really surprising to me.

If you remember, Morales and Manny fought on the same night. Manny gets an easy tuneup with Velazquez, and they put Morales in there with Raheem? I never understood it. It's not like I thought Zahir was a monster, but I just knew that his style is just all wrong for damn near anybody in general. He only had one clean loss his entire career, which was Funeka. His other two losses were debatables.

I disagree about that being the best version of Manny. Manny had a serious problem against anyone that could box at a high level, at that point in time.
Until the Morales loss the only fighter to give pac hell was marquez... Sanchez (rip) did too but he was dirty as fukk to make that fight close...agree with everything else. Raheem got a raw deal in that funeka fight and the freitas fight

Have you read the quote? What is your interpretation? Because he makes no mention about being as good as Floyd. Floyd and other champions are given respect and praise, whereas Wilder continues to fight under what he perceives to be unfair and disrespectful preconceptions. Why is Wilder still seen as a protected hype job and not being recognized as a legitimate top heavyweight today?

Hate on his technical ability all you want, the fact is that Wilder is an exciting fighters (sometimes for the wrong reasons obviously) and he has P4P all time great power.

When you're a belt holder making consecutive title defenses and knocking people out in brutal fashion consistently, you get respected. How come Golovkin was getting so much love when he was running through cans, but Wilder gets shytted on consistently?

Breh do you feel the triple gawd should be lauded for his dominance though? Meaning do you keep the same energy for him like you do for wilder?:sas2:

Absolutely. I've called G a special fighter in the past.

Which is why I think Canelo beating his azz is all the more impressive.:banderas:

Of course he is that's why he is the triple gawd...shortened from his full righteous name of Triple God Cipher Allah....no PEDs needed :youngsabo:

Wilder isn't that special...he is Derrick Jefferson with a randall bailey right hand...he needs the names just like the 85ers say about GGG

:laff::russ:

But we've seen how vulnerable all these heavies are. Josh losing to Ruiz, Fury almost getting stopped by Wallin, Wilder versus Fury and Ortiz. Wilder does need to start stacking good names now though.

Despite how good Manny was at the time, I still viewed him as a guy that was developing. It's an insane when you think about it. A guy that beat the shyt out of Barrera was still developing?

Surely you could see that, based on the eye test, Manny could get outboxed, right? It would be like me saying Wilder went through a period where he had no trouble, but yet we know he can get outboxed.

I can agree with that breh...pac's offense lived and died by his left hand in those days...it was one dimensional

Kubrat Pulev vs. Adam Kownacki in the works for Feb.22

By Dean Berman: A fight is in the works between heavyweights Kubrat Pulev (28-1, 14 KOs) and Adam Kownacki (20-0, 15 KOs) for February 22 on the undercard of Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury rematch, according to @TheAthleticBOX.

There’s a chance that the Pulev vs. Kownacki fight could potentially be for the International Boxing Federation title if Anthony Joshua defeats Andy Ruiz Jr. in their rematch on December 7th. The belief is that Joshua (22-1, 21 KOs) will vacate the IBF title, and hold onto the WBO in order to face fellow Matchroom Boxing fighter Oleksandr Usyk.
