I know this thread is full of tough guys and too cool for school ass nikkas but are we really surprised a boxer looks up to the greatest fighter of the generation?

With that said he should have kept that to himself or just talk to Floyd now the media gonna make it a thing.
that's true, Floyd is a lot older, another generation older, of course you will have these guys looking up to him, even his peers during his activity were looking up to him..

Floyd said he'll kick Ali's and SRL ass:ufdup:

Wilder instead of looking for mayweathers baton, his tall ass should've asked a fellow lanky fighter how to effectively slip punches with his length and athleticsm..........A Goat like Floyd knows Wilder got saved vs Ortiz due to his political ties....

I agree with the other viewpoint, yes they are looking up to him but they can't wait for his validation like a fan and be sour if they don't get it.

The headline seems to be slightly sensationalized after reading Wilder's quote. It doesn't actually seem like Wilder is upset with Floyd, rather he's just stating that he wants to get the same respect and recognition that Floyd and other fighters in the past have received.

Basically, I'm gathering that he feels like he deserves greater recognition for being an exciting fighter, and is worthy of being seen as a legitimate champion. The headline framed it like he's vying for Floyd's acceptance, which is fukkd up.

Yeah it's like Morales with zahir Raheem. Raheem was all kinds of wrong for him. Wasn't really even. Close

Thing is he's not as good as Floyd, not even close if I'm being honest.
He's not even the best of this age's HW division basing on the Fury fight.
I get that fighters gotta be confident in themselves and believe they are even that level but nah, if he's yearning for the same recognition Floyd got he will stay yearning the rest of his career.

He fought 2 top opponents in his weightclass, one was still dangerous but old and he got gifted a draw against the other one.
Compare it to Floyd who was simply the best of his generation.
So why would Wilder get the same respect and recognition?
Not trying to shyt on Wilder with that, those are just the cold facts.
