id believe this if dude had not been coming into his fights woefully out of shape already :heh:...dude was on fumes when he went 10 for the one and only time against charles martin..he should have learned a lesson then..but no he doubled down talking about he didnt need to look in shape on the outside and whatnot

Facts
and as far as I'm concerned, he needs to run that Martin fight back, especially if he plans on chasing a title. You right, that should have been his wake up call. He let Charles come back into that fight when he had it won at the mid point.

I'd definitely be happy for the Andrade fight though. These nikkas been in the same division twice already. May as well get it on. :manny:

Pascal Calls Browne Woman-Beater; Pulls Out Wig Prop At Presser

Pascal Calls Browne Woman-Beater; Pulls Out Wig Prop At Presser

By Keith Idec

Physically pushing Marcus Browne wasn’t enough for Jean Pascal on Thursday.

Pascal pushed Browne’s buttons, too.

A few minutes after shoving his opponent on stage at Barclays Center, Pascal made matters as personal as possible during a press conference by referencing Browne’s four domestic violence-related incidents since December 2017. When Browne wouldn’t predict again that he’ll knock out Pascal on Saturday night, Pascal pulled a women’s wig out of a plastic bag and taunted the WBA interim light heavyweight champion.

“If I wear this, are you gonna promise the world?,” Pascal yelled at Browne. “If I wear this and I look like a woman, are you gonna promise the world that you’re gonna knock me out, like you used to do? You let me know. You let me know – if I wear this, a wig, are you gonna promise the world you’re gonna knock me out this time around?”

Curtis Stevens, seated next to Browne, held his friend’s arm as Pascal yelled at him. Browne didn’t get out of his chair.

Once Pascal sat down, he finished off his verbal barrage by saying, “You, woman-beater,” into his microphone. The press conference was televised live on FS1, FOX’s 24-hour sports cable channel.

Browne has been charged four times in his native Staten Island, New York, over the past 19 months for incidents involving the mother of his infant daughter. The arrests haven’t prevented Browne from receiving licenses to box in New York and Nevada.

The 2012 U.S. Olympian will make the first defense of the WBA interim light heavyweight title when he opposes Pascal, a former WBC 175-pound champion from Laval, Quebec. Before Pascal pulled out the wig, Browne explained why he pushed Pascal when they were put face-to-face for photographers.

“Cuz he was touching me in places, you know what I mean, I don’t really wanna be touched, all up in my face,” Browne said. “And I called him my son, because he my son and I’m gonna son him on Saturday.”

Pascal scoffed at Browne’s comments.

“I’m his son,” Pascal said. “That guy’s so funny. When I was his age, I was already a world champion. He was watching me on TV when he was in the Olympics. I’m his son. Come on, man. Be real. Stop lying to yourself. The truth gonna come out Saturday night. Good luck.”

The 28-year-old Browne (23-0, 16 KOs) is consistently listed as at least a 20-1 favorite over Pascal (33-6-1, 20 KOs, 1 NC). He still declined Thursday to predict a knockout.

“No pressure, honestly,” Browne said. “I’m gonna punish him, though. I’ll tell you that much and I’m gonna beat his ass. So however he wanna go, he gonna go. But yeah, it’s gonna be a good one.”

Pascal pressed Browne about predicting a knockout at their first press conference in June.

“Listen, at the first press [conference] he said he’s gonna knock me out,” Pascal said. “And now he’s switching his phrase. Now he says he’s gonna do his best. He’s gonna pressure me. He’s gonna do his best. Are you gonna run like a chicken and hold like an octopus? Or are you gonna fight like a man, and try to knock me out for real? Cuz we all know you’re the best at running like a chicken and holding like an octopus. So, what you gonna do right now? Promise the world, promise all the fans that you’re gonna fight like a real man this time around.”

Browne declined again.

“I promise I’m gonna beat your ass,” Browne said. “Wanna bet? I promise I’m gonna beat your ass.”

Soon thereafter, Pascal pulled out the wig and verbally bashed Browne.

Browne-Pascal is one of three fights FOX will televise Saturday night (8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT).

In the main event, Brooklyn’s Adam Kownacki (19-0, 15 KOs) and veteran heavyweight Chris Arreola (38-5-1, 33 KOs, 2 NC), of Riverside, California, are set to meet in a 12-rounder. The telecast will start with a 10-round junior middleweight match between Brooklyn’s Stevens (30-6, 22 KOs) and Nigeria’s Wale Omotoso (27-4, 21 KOs, 1 NC).
