Hearn took an L with Beterbiev leaving to ESPN but he took a W now with this

If I'm getting it right this is an agreement between them and not just the announcement of Bivol vs Smith

WoB active stable:
Bivol
Povetkin
Lebedev
Troyanovsky
Kudryashov
Chakiev
Kuzmin
Papin
Egorov
Afonin
Lubkovich

last 4 (or 5 if you count Kuzmin there) are prospects, before them are pretty known well known guys

Main Events don't have well known names other than Kovalev and Barrera but they have like 6-7 unbeaten prospects among them some, like Nursultanov (Uzbek) or Murtazaliev (Russian) are highly touted

I think Barrera's contract with them is up. He probably goes to ESPN too.

Kell Brook vs. Jessie Vargas negotiations underway for April 6

By Trevor McIntyre: Former two division world champion Jessie Vargas says negotiations have already started for a fight between him and former IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook for April 6. If the Brook vs. Vargas fight takes place, it would be shown on Matchroom Boxing on DAZN in the United States, and possibly on Sky in the UK.

The fight is still not official though, but the 29-year-old Vargas is optimistic that it will take place on the 6th of April.

It’s unknown why Brook, 32, would want to fight Vargas, as he was supposed to be fighting at 154 and going after all the top dogs in that division. Brook moved up in weight alright, but he’s been facing tune-up level opposition in Sergey Rabchenko and Michael Zerafa. Brook is winning, but he’s not facing the top fighters – Jarrett Hurd, Jermell Charlo, Tony Harrison and Jaime Munguia – that the boxing public expected him to fight.

“I guess you got the inside [information,” Vargas said to esnewsreporting about negotiations taking place between his management and Kell Brook’s promoters for a fight between them on April 6. “It is a fight that is being negotiated now,” Vargas said.

Wilder-Fury Rematch: Purse Bid Set For February 5, 60-40 Split

By Jake Donovan

Whatever point Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury have currently reached in negotiating a rematch, the World Boxing Council (WBC) is doing its part to expedite matters.

Or so suggests public perception.

The Mexico-based sanctioning body—which recognizes Wilder as its heavyweight champion and had already approved a rematch with Fury—has now offered a February 5 deadline for such talks to commence.

wilder-fury-fight%20(22).jpg

In a statement through its press office, theWBC noted that “the free negotiation period is opened and if there is no agreement between the parties a purse bid will be conducted by theWBC on Tuesday February 5th.”

Wilder (40-0-1, 39KOs) made the 8th defense of his heavyweight strap, surviving the toughest scare of his 10+ year pro career in escaping with a split decision draw versus Fury in their 12-round thriller last December in Los Angeles.

The unbeaten fighting pride of Tuscaloosa, Ala. fell behind early, but relied on his celebrated punching power to rally back. Knockdowns in rounds nine and 12 turned an apparent boxing clinic by Fury (27-0-1, 19KOs) into a major scare late in the fight for Brit, who was all but out in the 12th and final round but somehow rose to his feet and finished the fight strong.

In the days following their Showtime Pay-Per-View headliner—generating roughly 325,000 units sold—the WBC unanimously approved an immediate rematch, with the two camps since engaging in talks.

Should the unlikely occur and the bout go to a purse bid, Wilder wouldn’t be entitled as much of the take as normally afforded a defending titlist. Given Fury’s standing in the market place, the WBC “has modified the 70-30 split and has confirmed a 60-40 split.”

All that said, the ordered free-negotiations period and threat of a purse bid will likely result in little more than generating a few headlines.

There is potential concern on the WBC side that the two head in a different direction for their next adventure—specifically Fury, in a bout that wouldn't carry WBC sanctioning. The 6'9" Brit has been rumored as a candidate of interest for countryman Anthony Joshua, who remains without a dance partner for a set-aside April 13 defense of his slew of heavyweight titles.

In a recent interview with BT Sport, Fury also openly spoke about the possibility of a UK homecoming prior to facing Wilder a second time, in the event that a rematch couldn't be firmed up in a timely fashion.

Such concerns are seemingly unnecessary, as sources from both sides of current talks have indicated that a sequel is already being targeted for mid-to-late spring.

Of course, if it were up to the fighters, it would take place a lot sooner.

“I’m willing and ready to give Fury the opportunity ASAP,” Wilder said during a media conference call just days after their 12-round thriller, even before the WBC became officially involved. “If you have so many different sides, it’s only right to give Fury a rematch as soon as possible.

“I’m ready whenever to do it whenever he’s ready to do it. I’m ready to give the fans what they wanna see and end this talk once and for all.”

From a logistics—and health—standpoint, running it back in the 1st quarter of 2019 is a non-starter. Showtime and Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) are already presenting a PPV event this weekend, with eight-division titlist Manny Pacquiao set to take on former four-division beltholder Adrien Broner this Saturday in Las Vegas.

Outside of the Showtime scope, another PBC-branded PPV event will come in March, when unbeaten pound-for-pound entrants Errol Spence Jr. and Mikey Garcia collide in a 12-round welterweight title fight which serves as broadcast network Fox’s debut in the PPV market.

A more realistic timeframe of mid-May to mid-June is far more in with the Showtime brass.

“For us, the overriding priority, really, is the health of the fighters,” said Stephen Espinoza, Showtime’s president of sports and event programming back in December. “And that was a tough, tough fight. So we’re not gonna rush anything to fit anything into a specific timetable. Both of those guys earned a long, long rest.

“But you can hear in Deontay’s voice, that rest isn’t gonna last too long. So if they said May, [it] would be great. June would be great. If it’s later, after that, personally, April sounds a little quick to me. But if both of the guys feel like that gives them an opportunity to recover and go into it, [we could do it].”

another sunday card..well at least football will be over by then so no conflict

Ray Beltran-Hiroki Okada Announced For Ramirez-Zepeda Card

Ray Beltran’s road back to title contention begins Sunday, Feb. 10. The former lightweight world champion will face the unbeaten Hiroki Okada in a 10-round super lightweight fight as the co-feature to the Jose Ramirez-Jose Zepeda super lightweight championship bout at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif.

Ramirez-Zepeda and Beltran-Okada will headline a special Top Rank on ESPN card beginning at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN and ESPN Deportes.

The entire undercard, including the super bantamweight showdown between Genesis Servania and the undefeated Carlos Castro, will stream live beginning at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN+

“I am excited about 2019, and this camp has been a great way to start my journey to another world title opportunity,” Beltran said. “If it’s at 140, then I will be a two-division world champion, and if it’s at 135, then I will be a two-time lightweight champion. I will leave that to Top Rank and my manager, Steven Feder. I made some changes and am now working with Marvin Somodio, who for many years learned from the great Freddie Roach. Marvin and my longtime strength coach, Bryan McComb, are bringing me back to the skills and basics that got me here. I’m a boxer, I’m a prizefighter, and that’s what my fans will see Feb. 10.”

"To challenge for the world title, I’ve got to beat Beltran," Okada said. "As a former world champion, I know he’s highly skilled. I know he’s tough, so I’ll be prepared for a good fight. It’s an honor to be able to fight him, and I’m confident that I will win. I’ve watched his fights on video, and I believe in my power coming into this fight.

Beltran (35-8-1, 21 KOs) fulfilled a lifelong dream in 2018 when he captured the WBO lightweight world title with a bruising unanimous decision over Paulus Moses in Reno, Nev. A seasoned pro who made his name as a sparring partner to the stars, Beltran began his career 5-2 and didn’t receive his first world title shot until Sept. 7, 2013. On that evening in Glasgow, Scotland, he was saddled with a highly controversial draw versus hometown favorite and WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns. Beltran lost a wide points decision to pound-for-pound great Terence “Bud” Crawford the following year but rebounded with a six-bout unbeaten streak heading into the Moses bout.

Beltran’s world title reign ended on Aug. 25 of last year, as Jose “Sniper” Pedraza put forth a virtuoso boxing clinic to win the title via unanimous decision. After spending most of his career as a lightweight, Beltran will move up five pounds to face Okada (19-0, 13 KOs), a former Japanese super lightweight champion who is ranked in the top 10 at 140 pounds by all four major sanctioning organizations. Okada fought twice in 2018, most recently notching a well-earned split decision verdict against Cristian “El Zorro” Coria on Sept. 14 in Fresno.

Headlining the ESPN+ stream will be Servania (32-1, 15 KOs), a 27-year-old Filipino who proved his world-class status during his 2017 featherweight world title challenge against Oscar Valdez. Servania and Valdez traded knockdowns in one of the year’s best fights, with Valdez retaining his title by unanimous decision. Servania has won three in a row since the Valdez war, including a third-round knockout over Carlos Carlson on Sept. 28 in Oakland, Calif. Castro (21-0, 9 KOs), a Phoenix native, is an all-action fighter who cut his teeth with nearly 200 bouts in the amateur ranks. In his last bout, Aug. 25 on the Pedraza-Beltran undercard, he got the better of a toe-to-toe battle against Diuhl “Elegante” Olguin to win a unanimous decision.

“I’m really looking forward to my next fight in Fresno because my opponent is a good fighter. He is undefeated,” Servania said. “I want to fight tough opponents. I’m confident about this fight because I’ve been training hard and I know I will give my best.”

“It has been a tough road to get to 21-0, but it also has been a great experience,” Castro said. “This upcoming fight is another important step towards a world title fight. I know exactly who Servania is, and I will be ready for him.”

The ESPN+ stream will also feature:

Gabriel Flores Jr. (11-0, 5 KOs), the 18-year-old phenom from Stockton, Calif., will take on Alex Torres Rynn (6-2, 3 KOs) in a six-round lightweight contest.

Unbeaten super featherweight contender Andy “El Tiburon” Vences (21-0-1, 12 KOs) will continue his march toward a world title shot against Dardan Zenunaj (14-5, 11 KOs) in a bout scheduled for eight or 10 rounds.

Guido “The Gladiator” Vianello (1-0, 1 KO), the 6-foot-6 heavyweight puncher who represented Italy at the 2016 Rio Olympics, will face Andrew Satterfield (4-1, 2 KOs) in a scheduled six-rounder. Vianello trains with Hall of Famer Abel Sanchez in Big Bear Lake, Calif.

Saul “Neno” Rodriguez (22-0-1, 16 KOs), in his second fight since returning from a nearly two-year layoff, will take on Aelio Mesquita (17-3, 15 KOs) in a lightweight fight scheduled for eight or 10 rounds.

Fresno native and featherweight prospect Isidro Ochoa (6-0, 2 KOs) will make his fourth Save Mart Center appearance as a pro against Jesus Guzman (6-2, 4 KOs) in a six-rounder.

He needs to be quick on his feet to do that cause Plant won't stand in front of him.
Benavidez been pretty static on his feet so far but he's young, I think he'd take the Pnat fight too early now but let's see how much he improves by the end of the year.
