So what are the thoughts on Plant vs the rest of 168?
I think his attribute that he can move around well and have fast hands will be a big advantage to him against some of the more static dudes like Benavidez or Smith. I guess he would beat Dirrell too. Him vs Groves would be an interesting fight stylistically, idk how much that Smith KO took out from Groves though. Him vs Eubank would be also entertaining as hell, hope Haymon does it if Eubank beats Degale.

this quick Rigo KO will cover up well how slow he looked before in the round and how he got hit clean multiple times by this dude.
He did what he had to but how he looked wasn't super impressive to me even if that sounds crazy after a 1st round KO.

Benavidez and Ramirez would wear Plant down and I think both would get the best of him
Eubank, Groves, Hart, DeGale, Dirrell, Truax all would be a nice matchup for Caleb. But we all know that with him finally being a champ, on PBC to boot, and there being potential money in him ...he’s not gonna face any of those names his next fight or even 2 lol.

I don't agree w Benavidez walking him down btw, Benavidez has fast hands and he is skilled but he is very static on his feet, I can see Plant outmaneuvering him and win on points.
Zurdo... I was never that impressed with him, but he probably moves up to 175 anyway...
Truax wouldn't be a very risky fight for Plant imo, they could easily make that too. Truax vs Quillin winner, I doN't see any of them beating Plant or the other top guys in 168.
Degale is washed too, at this point he would be beaten by Plant, Benavidez, Smith without much problem, I have Eubank beating him too.

Also while Plant is a boxer he, similarly to Eleider Alvarez up north, has enough pop to keep opponents honest or even KD/KO them if they get reckless. He needs to do something with his stamina though cause he was gassing
Benavidez still has 2 fights to go(return bout + likely winner of Dirrell vs Yildirim to get the belt back), so that is a ways away. I like the winner of Truax vs Quilin, hopefully Truax wins since Truax and Plant have beef.

Yeah I didn't mean like they would do right now but hopefully down the line and not too far from now. Like a year or so... Under the assumption that Benavidez wins back his belt quick (should beat Dirrell or Yildirim).
Truax wouldn't be a bad opponent for Plant, he's ranked and recently went 1-1 with (a shopworn) Degale, imo Plant would beat him easier than Uzcategui though.
Kell Brook seems to be a popular guy regarding "opponents" lol
