and also what about telling him to tuck his chin and bend his legs...
kid has a really nice handspeed and seems like has good power but seeing that he lacks fundamental shyt like that
anything can happen though... Wladimir Klitschko was stiff as hell and also held up his chin high and he got punished for it 3 times, then he reinvented himself and ruled the HW division for a decade...
and this guy is 19 and so far doesn't need to reinvent himself just simply improve and improve... if they wanna fast track him he gonna run into some brutal loss I agree with Pat.
Idk how far he can go if he is built slowly but even if he only reaches contender level it would at least happen with knowing they did the build up correctly and he won't become a "what if..."
now if somebody would say that other fighters like Porter or Hurd are successful without not giving a shyt about some fundamentals that is true but they have unorthodoxy instead and that's a double edged sword, it serves as an advantage to them and as a disadvantage at the same time, the flaws are still flaws but at least they are built into their style of fighting and they allow other things to shine. The same can't be said about simple defensive flaws like chin being up in the air...
