Yup. I wonder if he knew that Mike was watching Kim & Jimmy, too. I don't see how he'd know. Anyway, what did he say that caused Hector to go bananas with the bell? "I'm going back to Plan A. He get's a surprise tonight. Uncle… No, Eladio won't be happy. but this is the way." So, before, when he spoke to Hector after the attack on his compound, did he talk about a Plan A? Was Hector upset simply because he didn't want Lalo to get killed, which he figured he would going up against all of Gus's men?

You may have out-thought the writers with this one.

mike is going to dump his body for them, theres no way they want a suicide investigation in their own apartment
If they dump the body that would raise even more suspicion imo. Him killing himself after this season set up would make perfect sense.

that would only raise suspicion if somebody knew he went to their apartment, looks like he was drunk and on his own, him and his wife barely communicate

Not only if they did an autopsy then they would have found out the drugs weren't in his system.
It was only suspected drug use. If people find out about his marriage falling apart and blaming Jimmy for everything going wrong with the settlement it still gives him motive to off himself. Not like depression isn't a leading cause for suicide.

Yea, but his wife and Cliff both knew he was on to Jimmy as he assured both of them he was "handling it". If Howard goes missing, it raises more suspicion of Howard confronting Jimmy and them killing him and dumping the body than the suicide route which does a better job of leaving no loose ends. Can't have police out there looking for Howard when that might lead them on to Saul/Kim's entire settlement plan and possibly Lalo being alive.

I think it was just a matter of :

- Gus is an earner. When it comes to cartel shyt, the bosses don't care about no petty bullshyt as long as the money keeps flowing

- Lalo was acting without consent from Don Eladio (aka El Jefe). Remember, Eladio is a dopey motherfukker but he killed Gus mans right in front of him for the deception involved in organizing the meeting. Hector knows that Eladio was'nt doing anything to Gus unless there was clear cut evidence of fukkerys so even if Lalo did get Gus, Eladio would probably kill Lalo for moving without permission and killing an earner.

Same reason Sam Rothstein got hella passes in "Casino".

Nobody gives a fukk about who likes each other or what's going on as long as the money is coming in.

Saul and Kim already have an alibi for Howard's body in their apartment. Howard came to the apartment enraged after having to settle and blamed them both. Then he proceeds to commit suicide in front of them after realizing they didn't do anything. They don't even need Mike, just the gun. The rest they can pretty much sell to the police during interrogation. Don't know if they will go that route though.
For starters:

Blood spatter inconsistency

Missing gun shot residue on Howard's hands

Gil Grissom would laugh his ass off at the scene

If they go the suicide route then they’d have to keep Lalo’s gun who likely ain’t giving it up. Plus there are likely bodies on his gun so that could open a whole other can of worms. Plus if the police get to digging around it could lead to their plan of bringing down Howard comes to light which brings the suicide story into question.
