Yeah but knowing Gus even the cartel still might go after his pops.
Not if Mike, who we’ve established has an interest in protecting Ignacios father(remember when he refused to let Tyrus bring him to Gus?) makes him disappear since Nacho honored his deal with Fring.

One thing nobody mentioned is Kim met with Lalo last season. So she would definitely know who he is.

If anybody were to find that out, it's gonna make her look equally guilty because she just lied about it. Granted, she could just lie and say she forgot but it doesn't help their image at all.
Yea no one would believe she forgot meeting her husband’s client just a few weeks ago the day before he posted 7 million cash bail. It’s not proof but it would be viewed as implausible. And when it comes to the Bar, that implausibility would be enough to have her lose her license.

Anyway, they clarified that Lalo was keeping that guy around solely to be his body double.

So Lalo had been planning this for years.
Thank you! I was just about to quote a Coli breh who finally made it make sense to me, but the podcast confirms it:

The cartel (Don Eladio) thinks Lalo is dead tho. Only Hector knows he’s alive. I think the dentist that worked on the double was hired specifically to make his teeth match Lalo’s.

Now this makes sense! These sociopaths fronting like they’re doing good for the community (fixing breh’s toothaches) when really they’re just using them as pawns like the scumbags they are. Sounds exactly like something the cartel would do or has done.

I think that was Bolsa then I would've killed Gus. Nothing g bout what he did. He basically submitted to the Cartel.

He admitted to Hector that he was the reason he was crippled. Did you not see the rage in Hector's eyes? The levels of torture that they would have done to him would have been inhumane. It was better to end his own life than to be kept alive for the sheer pleasure of Lalo and Hector. By killing himself he kept the Salamanca's unhappy. Some of us see that as a win. He also most likely kept his father alive.

Lalo has no other option but to go full Slamanca. He has no allies besides the cousins so i think this might be the moment where his Salamanca hot headedness gets the best of him.

Or he continues to play it smart and runs up on Gene at the finale. Those are my two scenarios:mjgrin:

You're right. There is a huge void now.

It leads me to believe that the BB era will be even more prevalent in the storyline.

Gus' relationship with the cartel is pretty much ironclad at this point (which is what he wanted) and will remain so until the BB era. There isn't much else left in that storyline, outside of Lalo's quest for vengeance.

Jimmy is 90% Saul right now.

Jimmy/Kim's ongoing mission to sabotage Howard appears to come to a breaking point during the next few episodes.

Mike has made peace (finally). The content version of Mike we see now is the same Mike who showed up at Jesse's overpriced townhouse.

Given where things are in Breaking Bad when they are introduced, it makes zero sense for anything to happen for the remainder of the season between Gus & Salamancas. I could see some sort of interaction with Lalo and either party, but don't really see any more possibly tension play out in this timeline between Gus/Salamancas.

However, I do see Lalo playing a part in Jimmy going 100% Saul and IMO he's the one that's going to determine Jimmy/Saul/Gene's fate. I think Saul fukking over Lalo as revenge for killing Kim wouldn't be out of the question, and Lalo returning the favor in Omaha to return the favor.

Lalo has to be dead by season 4 of "BB" because Gus tells Hector "the Salamanca name dies with you" after he wipes out the cartel.

So whatever happens to Lalo, Gus has to be aware of it.

Fred.

Intro reminded me of the intro to BB Train Robbery episode so I had a feeling Nacho was gonna get merked from early on:whoo:The twist was shocking though.

Like most I am more captivated by the Lalo/Gus/Hector story than the Saul/Kim story:wow:Michael and Saul bout to link up again soon.
Lalo solo episode pls:feedme:He been MIA too long.

He went a pawn he could've killed Bolsa or anyone of them and Mike or one them would've killed him.

They still can come after pops after he dead.

If the Salamancas want revenge on pops Gus will relent.
