The only time it was mentioned the Salamanca's wanted Nacho alive were by the TWINS telling the hitters when they were shooting at Nacho. Nobody outright told Gus they wanted Nacho alive until Mike told him what he accurately assessed why Lalo didn't cross the border.

Gus, knowing the Salamanca's, knew the assassination of Lalo would mean Nacho's ass. The Salamanca's would of executed him without hesitation. Nacho could've pleaded and snitched on Gus and everything and the Salamanca's wouldn't believe it because it's already proven that Nacho is a traitor and a liar. There wouldn't be anything to think otherwise. And Gus knew that. But again, it changes everything with the learning of Lalo still being alive, and WE KNOW the Salamaca's want PROOF of who's behind it and Lalo knows who, but he needs Nacho. That's the issue.

Naw the guy that dropped him off had a beard. Lalo def used Mateo as a body double. It was confirmed by the actor who plays Gus in an interview.

Thats one way to look at it however, during Gus's and Bolsa's phone call near the beginning of the 1st episode, Gus asks Bolsa "do we know who is responsible?" Bolsa replies " One minute I'm hearing Colombians, the next traitors close to home. One thing we know, Ignacio Vargo is a rat. Don Eladio has put a price on his head. Everyman we have is searching for him. When Varga's found we'll know who he is working for".

The original plan was to capture him and get information from him regardless. Even if they feel Nacho would be lying by snitching on Gus, the Salamanca's would believe it because they wanna go at Gus for any reason. It was risky for Gus to lead them to Nacho. He should have just sent a team to kill him to tie up that loose end.

Random question about Mike/Tyrus between Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul

In last nights ep of BCS Tyrus had a gun pointed at Mike ready to pull the trigger. In BB Season 4 Walt calls the police on Tyrus when he's staked out in Hank's neighborhood and later on Mike threatens to kill Walt if he ever calls the police on "one of my guys"

Just seems like a stretch to go from being threatened by a guy to claiming him as one of your guys and willing to kill for him

Maybe I'm missing something and not a big deal but just something I thought was weird

Yeah their characters are supposed to be 20 years younger than the actors now.

That's the problem with a prequel where many of the characters were in the original show

Tyrus is a part of Mike’s team at that point in the story. Mike plays for Gus, Tyrus plays for Gus. They are teammates. You’ve never heard of people squashing things for the betterment of the team? Besides, that was business and not personal. Walt calling the cops puts the whole operation in danger, which fukks up Mike’s money and freedom.
