Mike's really smart. Gus wouldn't have just brought him on the team if he was nothing but hustle. Gus admires Mike's principles first, but also his intelligence.

Mike is definitely a worker, but he's a really smart one, and he's not just muscle. Mike's intuition and ability to outsmart people is high up there
I wouldn't mind a Mike prequel showing him in his 20's/30's

hes good at dealing with goons, terrible at business as we saw when he got his money taken a second time
Mike losing his money wasn't due to stupidity though. It was just bad luck that Walt's magnet destroyed the lap top but broke Gus' picture frame that let the DEA to the overseas accounts. Also, Mike was really smart to know that he and Walt and Jesse needed to pay off Gus' guys in jail in order to keep them from flipping after Walt killed Gus.

I mean yeah, he could've decided to just murder them like Walt ultimately chose to do, but Mike had more principles than Walt did. Most of Mike's downfall can be attributed to him trying to live by a code surrounded by criminals that didn't feel the need to do the same. Mike's kind of like Omar from The Wire in some ways. Both guys chose to live by a code within a ruthless world...partially to better live with themselves and their decisions in the underworld.

mike made many mistakes, not killing walt was the biggest one, he only repeated frings mistake. he could of pressed pinkman but he should of known once he gave up his distribution connections he was a dead man. mike didnt have faith in frings competence, obviously his laptop would be secure and unhackable. the whole magnet situation was unnecessary, the feds didnt even know what they have with gales notebook.

And not informing Walter and Jesse about "legacy costs" until the money was on the table. You don't withhold that info from your "partners". In the real world, Mike would have been responsible for those costs out of his cut. No doubt about it.

I didn't blame Walt for having a problem with that. Any reasonable person would.

Oan, attempting to sell the methylamine to Declan for pennies on the dollar.....when you got the 2 best meth cooks in the universe by your side who can flip that shyt into exponential numbers.

I also took that to mean if his teeth were still severely fukked up then the paper work wouldn't matter because a glance would reveal it obviously wasn't Lalo.

Fred.

Nah :francis:

Think in terms of the context in-universe. Lalo and the twins came up under Hector. It's not that farfetched to think that they essentially banked a body double, just in case, for the future...then gave dude free dental work and had the dentist switch the records. Yeah it's easier to pay off a coroner to say the records matched Lalo's, but honestly pretending to be friends with the family while plotting their demise would be very much on point with how cartel heads think ahead..

If you keep up with cartel stories, it's a very short step from :patrice:to :jbhmm: to :merchant:

I'm not saying he wasn't planning on using dude as a body double all along....I'm saying if his teeth were bad enough that he was constantly in pain....then the plan wouldn't work regardless of what paper work they did. He had to actually go get his teeth fixed.

Of course, but Lalo seemingly took it a step further, I think.

The dental records matched, which requires a bit more than just fixing dude's fukked up teeth.

The dentist altered them to be like Lalo's :wow:

Dude had bad teeth, so Lalo had to have them fixed to pass a visual inspection.

The dentist worked for Lalo, so he could just falsify the paper work to say "yes, this is Lalo".

But beyond that, the feds have their own forensic dentist who does a separate inspection.

The shot of the twins walking through the crime scene like :birdman: was probably a subtle nod to the Salamancas controlling that aspect of the investigation, too.

After rewatching the scene, I don't think Kim ordered the super hover max. Pretty sure she's either dead or in jail by time BB starts.

Based on the first scene of the premiere at Saul's mansion, pretty safe to say she didn't take the money and disappear.

Yea i went back to rewatch most of 5 after that comment. I figure she will end up in jail after this season pre BB. Gonna be a fun couple of months with this show.

How do you figure? He made more money with Walt than with sandpaper by far. His money with Walt was pure cash pure week.

Think it's the case because:

1) BB takes place over a two year period and Saul doesn't appear full-time until season 3. Think he's able to spend that much money that quickly before bouncing?
2) I don't remember off-hand what Jimmy/Saul's piece of Sandpiper would be, but between that and the client base he's building up, that should more than be enough to be making some good money by the time Walt enters the picture.
