This is a great debate and a lot of good points.

I think Lalo didn't have anything against Jimmy. He clearly liked him and didn't have any definitive reason to distrust him. And Jimmy doesn't really have anything on Lalo that can hurt Lalo, so keeping him alive isn't any sort of disadvantage. Lalo kills people strategically, he's never random about it, so just blowing Jimmy away when Jimmy might one day provide something useful to him (like telling him more about what he knows about Mike and Gus) isn't his M.O.

This notion that Lalo kept Jimmy alive because he thought Jimmy may one day be useful doesn’t make any sense. It’s like y’all are conveniently forgetting that he was originally planning on sending Jimmy on the suicide mission to Gus’s house. He was done with Jimmy. Killing Jimmy wouldn’t have been “random”, it would have been the most logical thing to do in the situation.

Taking the time to tie him up after Kim left was an illogical waste of time that added unnecessary risk. What if that chair fell apart as Jimmy fell to the ground? At the very least, that could’ve resulted in Jimmy being able to alert the police (which from Lalo’s perspective would have been Jimmy’s most logical move since, as hex pointed out, he doesn’t know that Jimmy know Mike).

The only good reason to not kill Jimmy was cuz Jimmy needed to be alive in BB.

so did that waiting room lead to a direct bb scene.. they made sure to focus on there.. and Saul's outfit..

..

i think the only shows that could possibly be made r Gus and Mike prequels...they gotta use diff younger actors though.

Kim sequel wouldn't work because she has to be be quiet. Plus the end of bcs might close that chapter.

a Salamanca prequel show might be dope too.. don Eladio shyt Tuco fukkery .. Twin savegey ... and Lalo charm lol. end it with them recruiting Nacho.

I just checked. The tie he wears at the end of the episode is different from the one he wore during his first meeting with Walt.

Real clever and fukked up gaslighting how Kim implied that Cheryl either led to Howard's 'cocaine abuse' and/or wasn't aware of it--when she let it be known that she knew about their marital problems and when they got worse, and saying "you knew him better than anyone".

Multiple layers to the gaslighting.

Cold blooded.

shyt was surgical. And Cheryl couldn’t fight back, because she would have had to acknowledge how cold/dismissive/distant she’d been to Howie. She didn’t know who Howie was at that point, and she probably didn’t care until he died.

Kim knew exactly what she was doing.

Kim got scared straight by the incident in the apartment. She's back to wearing blue and doing legal grunt work :lupe:

Gus pulling up to Don Eladio's crib and listening to the whole letter like :unimpressed:was some god tier gaslighting :pachaha:

Wheeled that man off into the night, while he was still ringing his bell like :damn:. Eladio's impression of him :laff:

Mike seems completely over the drug game at this point and Gus' life looks and feels sterile and empty without it.

The convo between Nacho's dad and Mike was :ohhh: Nacho's dad is in the same position that Mike was in after his son was killed, and he chose not to let vengeance eat him. Mike's 'goon with a heart of gold' act didn't move him at all :wow:

Howard's death led to the firm downsizing and completely wiping out Chuck's legacy too? :whoo:

I'm curious how much time passed between Kim leaving and Jimmy waking up in a new Bugatti though. At this point, we have to be days if not hours away from Walt and Jesse showing up. :jbhmm:

What would a Kim prequel be about ? Her busting licks with her mom and passing the bar :mjlol:

The only prequel left that makes any sort of sense for this world is a Salamanca one. An in-depth look at how their blood & money went from starting this operation to getting lapped by Don Eladio would be a ton of interesting content we practically know nothing about.
