I'm pretty sure it was just a replica with no active ingredient. so hector thought he was taking medicine all that time but it was just placebo until his illness kicked into 5th gear.

I could see him around a few episodes....not for extended periods of time but they'd probably show him react to what happened to Chuck and/or talk to Jimmy and Kim about it.

It's not like Howard is a huge part of the show now anyways.

I could still see him being in an episode here or there. He's the head of the biggest law firm in ABQ. Sandpiper is also still an open case

The most twisted/stand-out moment of the episode for me was when Chuck went in close to Jimmy like he was going to give him a hug or forgive him/console him only to hit him with that ether line...

“The truth is, you’ve never mattered that much to me.”

Poor Jimmy. He gonna carry that shyt too for the rest of his life.

Chuck was a rich lawyer who hated Jimmy. I'd be shocked if he didn't have a will and that will gave anything to Jimmy.

He probably left all his estate to the Albuquerque Classical Music society or some shyt. Or maybe to HHM, since although he did try to call Howard's bluff, building that firm up was his life's work.

Everybody gushing over Chuck's performance this season, I thought Howard was really good this season as well.
