Its a throwback to the OG series where it was a running joke that they could blame Will for anything

Will was being all apologetic to Carlton and Lisa though. Uncle Phil said it’s not on him but everyone else had framed it like Will was the one that sent her over the edge.

Even when Carlton apologized to Will, he only apologized for the stuff he was saying about his dad but not for the fact that it wasn’t his fault.

Just seemed like lazy writing to make Will take accountability in a weird way.
