Going back and forth, between CoCo Jones, New age Aunt Viv, and Nadine Ellis in multiple episodes is like eating a big bowl of ‘Death by Chocolate’ ice cream and I would savor every spoonful 
I keep saying that this version of Ashley is their version of Michael Evans from Good Times except with the LGBT+ spin. It could be a slick way and/or ‘Here nikka damn’ to check the LGBT box. I know in the OG version she was the most grounded, but rebellious out of the Banks’ children, but she is borderline annoying in this version. Out of the reimagining and repackaging characterizations, Ashley repackaging suffers the most thus far, IMO.
