I liked the nod to the og show with the mom's guest starring. It was very subtle and not overdone. I don't know who they will get to play Will's dad but they should wait till next season regardless to reveal who that is.

*Carlton got the best arc/character development for me. Definitely turned it around, similar to the OG Carlton.

*Ashley only had one line and of all the things they make her say, it was about LGBTQ representation in church? That must had been her first time going to a black church but I see the agenda

*Not sure where the show is going from here now that Phil is out the race.
