Well see I don’t think he just does the bare minimum. He has tried different things in the ring and experimented. Hell, he battled Hollow (arguably beat him) after dealing with a situation that could have had him locked up for a while while he was recovering from being sick. Never really ducked smoke from anyone either. On the flip side, he keeps his business straight in the game it seems. And started his own league; even though it doesn’t do as many events, he still got the name of the league out there to where it’s acknowledged. Gave Danny Myers a shot on the come up on AHAT. People are not trying to downplay him bodying Jackboyy but that was one of the coldest moments ever in battle rap. Touched damn near every major platform. Looking back at it, the dude has done a lot in battle rap and for battle rap.

The copying and all that, I get it. And that’s why I never put him in my top. The beefs he gets into, I can’t stand that either. But I give him his credit tho. He knows how to win. But there is just certain majority of fans that are really against him. So it is what it is, no different from some of the others in the game I fukk with.

A genuine question, do you ever get hype when you see JJDD name pop up, wether it be on a card or a battle of his been released? Even more, do you ever while having a drink or smoking a spliff think to yourself, " let me go and watch a bunch of JJ battles on YouTube"?

Lol. Since it’s YOU, I’ll answer you honestly. And nah, I won’t go thru his catalog of battles; matter of fact, I rarely do that with any battle rapper. When I see him on card I don’t go “oh it’s a smoke break battle” or complain/whine he is on the card. Nor do I go crazy for him on the card. I just don’t mind him and I know he will show up and do what he has gotten paid for. Never over excited. Never disappointed. Just like ok the kid is talented, he can rap, and he always has 3 solid rounds. He will perform. He won’t be a bytch about the timing of the rounds. He will know his material. He won’t throw up on stage. He won’t use a mixtape verse. He won’t get into a fight most of the time on stage. He can rebuttal, right? Anyways, that’s where I’m at with JJDD.

As for his music…that’s a whoooole different story. He has gotten better but man…he had some bad joints.

Serious question. Do you think that everyone is “against” the battlers you support? Or could it just be as simple as not everyone likes the same guys?? Are people against JJDD or do they just not think he’s that good?

Hey relax, man; you and lil dutchie with the 20 questions, calm down good cop/bad cop. And nah not at all and I’m not looking for someone to agree with me on this. Random thoughts thread, we have our own perspectives. JJDD gets dogged on here in the reg and I was like maybe I’ll give another perspective this time for once, that’s all. me and you don’t see eye to eye on quite a few things (in particularly Surf) but some shyt we agree on. I’m on the odd man out on JJDD and that’s fine. I just personally think he does deserve some credit for what he has done in the game that’s all.
