You would take those battles over Mook vs Roc?Serius Jones right now Is a better battler then Mook. His performances against Ill Will & Rum Nitty are way better then anything I’ve seen from Mook in this era.

im hearing lux vs geechie is booked for the drake card? anyone else believe this?
Geechi too basic to beat someone of Lux level, people gonna be disappointed..
Agreed. People more basic than Geechi have beaten Lux. This is battle rap not battle write. Lux has to get to his point faster, clearer and implement more punches into his rounds. Lux's formatting of how he battles is amazing, and I love it from a artistic standpoint, but this era isn't really gravitating towards his style anymore. It's not hitting the same. So he has two options, do some tweaking to it to make it more digestible, or revert back to Grey Hoodie Lux.I think Geechi has gotten incrementally better lyrically and usually raps up to the level of competition…No one would argue against the fact that Verb and Nitty are both clearly better lyrically than Geechi…and he was fire in both of those battles. he’s seen JC, Chilla, Chess, and other crazy pens too. I trust him to up his game for Lux…
…and we gotta remember battle rap is much more than what’s written on paper. Geechi has elite level stage presence/crowd control, believability, can freestyle, rebutall, etc…Lux can’t just waltz in there and play with his food.

Exactly. And that's what is is, industry standards have changed. Royce been on live with Mook and them all morning, and Eddie Morris been trying to explain to Mook, you have to give the fans what they want. Mook is arguing the fans don't dictate how we battle, but Morris is telling him "Yes they do". If the fans like a certain pace/style now, if you want to continue to win and be considered an elite you have to adjust to the times. That doesn't mean get up there sounding like Twork and Nitty, it just means tweaking your current style and making it more palatable for the current fanbase. It’s like I said during Summer Madness…these current battlers don’t fear Mook & Lux like that. It wasn’t until Mook’s performance against Reed on the big stage that I finally got why…
…I used to swear Twork, Brizz, Ave, etc. we’re just being haters by acting like “GOATs” can’t do nothin with them…but now I get it. On a big stage, they’d do em filthy off the sheer fact that they are more acclimated to packaging their material and delivering to today’s crowd by current standards.
Like…If THAT Mook we just saw at SM11 battled Brizz on a big stage, it’d be a bloodbath.
Yeah even Lux second against Verb. Lux has some great moments on a big stage. Mook really has none unless you count Total Slaughter@FreshAIG yeah Mook is stubborn as hell. You would think after the reaction to the Solomon battle he’d have tried to tweak some things…but fast forward to the Verb battle and it’s the same shyt…then fast forward to now…still. That verbal diarrhea/lyrical gymnastics shyt ain’t gone cut it with this crowd.
At least Lux has big stage classics under his belt (Cal, Hollow, the 2-on-2). Mook on the other hand…shyt, at this point I rather see Rex back on the URL big stage.
Arsonal, Mook and Eddie Morris on Royce Da 5'9 Ig Live right now, having a debate
I mean not choking is great and all, but at some point that can't be your only calling card. You have to add other elements to make you a threat. Mook hasn't had a performance on a stage that would concern anyone.Has Murda Mook ever choked? What about Surf? Twork? Chess?
I agree on one hand Mook has been underwhelming recently but to compare him to people that couldn't even finish rounds?
Some of them were bringkng it back from the top (to disguise their chokes) and during the covid no crowd battles got exposed.
Someone like Tay Roc who I didn't really rate enhanced his credibility to me as he can really rap.. The gas from the crowd is just because..
I do believe though some of these guys have too many yes men and can do with management (not conflict of interest URL). JC should only battle top tiers, Mook should cut to 3 min rounds all haymakers, Head ICE should only battle on URL, top tiers should not waste time on 2v2s, PGs should not battle gatekeepers like DNA/John John
Pity UW broke down, URL needed some competition, KOTd I mean RBE don't have it just yet..
