Constructive feedback

Hence I said someone you trust, if these situations occur it's on the battle rapper him/herself.

No one knows the battle rapper culture better then battle rappers. Asking for feedback from peers that you trust is normal in any proffesion, why wouldnt it be in br?
So if someone gives you an idea or helps you piece some shyt together that’s ok to you?

These "peons" are some of the best battle rappers in the world. Cass ran his rounds by Danny Myers & Jc for the Goodz battle. He did that because "He" wanted to. Nobody forced him to. Cass got enough arrogance and ego to laugh it off that he "needs" to let people hear his rounds beforehand. He chose the latter and went to some of the people that actually get busy and are bar heavy. Going to Mook and Cal ehhh diff story lol .
Bro I don’t care who it is

we’re talking about Cassidy someone who has been spitting battle raps on tracks his entire career along side some of the best rappers in history

wtf he need a jc, Danny myers or anyone else approval for?

Ru shyttin me

the audacity

You sound very naive. Whether you’re a battler rapper or recording artist, all of that shyt needs to be screened before being presented to the general public.

Why not run it by the bloggers? That’s the audience you’re rapping for anyway.

You’re favorite rapper Cassidy told a very interesting story about R.Kelly. Yes I’m aware Kellz is a R&B singer, not a rapper, but the story is still applicable. This is regarding the hotel studio session. R.Kelly was in the studio making music. He had women hanging out there. He would play his shyt for them. If they didn’t like it, that shyt wasn’t coming out. Now why would R.Kelly take advice from these women? Why would he care what they thought, consider he was the one with the talent? Because that’s his audience nygga.

I don’t care if you’re a battler, backpack rapper, trap rapper, singer, etc you need someway to gauge if the audience likes your shyt before presenting it to the world.

That’s not an apples to apples comparison and u know it

especially when there’s music on a track to factor in

I've been jaded about female MCs since I found out MC Lyte had ghostwriters

Lyte had ghost writers? :dahell:

I'm sad :mjcry:

It's a shame female MCs have that stigma because it's not like women are dumber than men on average, or they can't come up with clever shyt because they're women. Why do so many of them turn to ghostwriters

im not sold that females can come up with clever bars

And it has nothing to do with being dumb or lacking intelligence

Yes, unfortunately. LL Cool J wrote her Self-Destruction verse as an example.
