I'm a Nas stan and an atheist so I loved that line like cooked food :wow: I like slick likes like that lmao.

"Torranio...you don't know who's terrain you on"

"I was the first white watch/white to watch I made this hue blow/hublot"

Right. I hope people don't confuse what im saying. That brizz line is insane to me as well. Im just saying both lines lyrically are not anything amazing. Especially when u just reading it. But when performed in the moment both of those lines hit and hit hard.

Not every line has to have a double meaning.

It's not crazy in a lyrical sense no. Especially not typed out. But it registered with everyone right away. Especially in the building. That's why it hit

95% of brizz shyt is like this and no one says anything. Don't do that. Cause if that's the case then "The bible was a classic,But it's no illmatic, "isn't that crazy" either.
Nah that brizz line is cold regardless :whew: powerful quote

Tell me as a mannnnn :beli:
They shouldn't have posted that vid
Ave looking crazy

Uncle Rah weak for that. He fancies himself as this OG in battle rap but that's not a OG move at all. What's the incentive in posting this? Watch next interview with Ave he gonna be talking about how Ave is his man even though he got bruh looking crazy as fukk on the internet.

Some dudes get super charged up when they on that oil. It's not really a big deal to me but Ave gotta be more mature and self aware. These battle rappers be having the strangest personalities.

Ave just like jerry Wess and rum was always one of them dudes without a story line

Yeah it looks crazy but it also builds a story line for him so it's good for business

All this storyline dumb shyt requirements for nikkas smh

I didn’t know Lux his story during the DVD era
I didn’t know Verb’s story during the DVD era
I didn’t know Yung Ill’s story during the DVD era

fast forward
I didn’t know JC’s storyline when he battled Chilla and vice versa
I didn’t know B Magic’s storyline when he battled Qleen and vice versa

All I knew when I saw them was that them nikkas were some of the best rappers I’ve ever heard

The fukk I gotta know the background of them battling for?

Make sure them nikkas is NICE and make them Battle, the FUKK?!

JC vs Chilla was just an amazing battle ON PAPER if you followed them early on in the culture.
The outcome was to be expected

The fact that some nigggas act surprised that Chilla vs Nitty is an amazing battle when their track record of professionalism and being NICE speaks for themselves

Just put two nikkas against eachother that’s nice and respect the culture

nikkas trying way too hard to go viral and shyt

Battlerap so backwards smh

All the OTHER artists on those DVDs who weren't battling... what were they on there doing?

Promoting themselves & telling their story. Then maybe doing some sort of exclusive freestyle or music video. I kinda understand your frustration, but if you're from the DVD era you shouldn't have that much of an issue with storylines.

When I would watch old battles I ALWAYS paid attention to the people standing behind the battler. It gives you an idea of their lifestyle. That helps sell the characters, especially when you can tell their homies aren't battle rap fans. It may become annoying to you when the fans parrot talking points that have nothing to do with talent, but it's important that the mc's are concerned with branding themselves. There are too many talented rappers, and some of these guys sound similar. Fire Da Misfit is nice, but he sounds lot like Reign Man imo & he hasn't done much to differentiate himself so I don't rush to his battles. I know a bunch of talented rappers who get no light because they have no idea how to sell themselves.

the DVD era there was way less competition
less people so it was easier to stand out
you being on the DVD was basically enough
Verb and Ill story was basically being from St Louis
