Chris Unbias also did a breakdown of the Shine/DNA stuff. He gave a lot of context to DNA and URL's relationship. Apparently DNA brought in a nikka named Harry that funded URL alot. Chris said he was funding like 60% of the battles for years. He said that's why DNA was getting the push he was getting. Chris also said Harry was the nikka that pushed the URL app stuff and paid for it/got it made. Said URL broke Harry off a piece/bought him out, so URL doesnt deal with him anymore.

This answered my previous question. You just started watching recently. There’s nothing wrong with that, but you kind of threw me off with the “some lady from Chicago” comment and now saying “apparently DNA brought in a nikka named Harry.”

This is a veteran board, so we all are aware of who these people are. DNA and Charlie Clips brought him in, which is why they were on every card. Of course NWX benefitted from this relationship as well.

Is it more detail than the clips that were released? Did he say he refused battles? Not trying to watch the whole thing when Im only interested in the URL/Shine dispute

Sidenote - Math did some real hoe shyt with how he clipped that shyt up. Horrible. He did the whole thing backwards as hell too. You release the whole ep, then do the clip shyt. He also released clips from another interview while dropping clips from the shine interview. Whoever in charge of that stuff over there needs to be fired.

Nah, he was pretty much talking in circles and was never clear on what exactly URL did wrong. He basically kept saying URL had an illegal contract, which, okay, but how? In what way was it illegal? He won't specify anything so it just leaves you trying to piece together what happened and there's really nothing there that makes URL seem at fault.

Math learned from Vlad to do the clips then drop the video. They make way more money that way. That's why I just sign up for the monthly when there's interviews I want to see immediately and hate waiting for the long version

I dont understand why Dna telling shine not to take the contract is such a big deal. Some nikkas dont like negotiating for every battle like that. Besides DNA said he could ask for more if he keeps winning, but on the flip side URL would pay him less if he goes on a losing streak

shyt look like some shyt you'd see in a psychological horror film now that I think about it. Like everytime a nikka goes to sleep he wakes up in the blue room with Gwitty in the corner just smiling at him, chanting "AL-BUM". Horrifying.

The random flight to Texas is a start which is crazy lol. That particular time frame between the Sikh and Jakk Boy battles, is hella sketchy on URL part.

Tying it in with DNA response, Shine got caught up in shady business practices on URL part, and finally realized his own worth when it was too late. He should of been more business savvy, and never signed that contract with the 4 blank names after the Lyt battle. By the time URL in their own way, wanted to wipe the slate clean and wanted to bring Shine back anyway they could, Shine not goin' for it at this point.

It's a complete cluster fukk, I'm just tryna piece it together ma damn self

Kshine and other battlers need to hit up mook and see how his contracts look. Because even if his opponent misses the battle, he gets paid his full amount.

i dont even think it was shady. Shine shoulda been able to see exactly how it'd go left with 4 blank battles considering how picky he normally is over who he battles. nikka got damned near harassed into accepting that Chess battle

even if they hit up mook, i dont think URL givin anybody else them type of contracts. Shine def ate tho and i respect him trying to get new bags and thus not battling for "free"

also battle rap is murky. you wanna be the street league and allat so it looks a way when they start throwin lawyers into the fray, especially against the talent. Eazy i KINDA get even tho blocking his biggest payday without an incentive for Eazy seems wild. Shine tho? he should be looked at as one of them ones

either way, im happy the exclusivity era is dying down. URL hoardin nikkas and for what? Grabbed up Saynt, Mackk, Bill, and absolutely destroyed any momentum they had before last year
