This was literally the same movie as Watchmen

for the most part, this is true...which gets me even more excited cause i liked the theater version of watchmen, but enjoyed the director's cut more....got a feeling this the same situation....

I know people get on him, but wb should keep zack and let him continue to do his directing thing....just get others to write it....

Muthafukkas thinkin their weak ass roster of heroes gonna get shyt poppin in one film:russ:
"We gotta play catch up! Lets use this film to bring Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and that one black character we have to start the beginning of Justice League." :blessed:
That shyt was actually pretty ridiculous. They was sitting in a room and like how we gonna introduce everybody :why:

Oh shyt lets just put them all in a email :gladbron:

The movie wasn't 30% RT bad but these nikkas really dropped the ball, especially for having pushed this shyt back.

All this movie did was remind me that i could give a fukk if Batman or Superman get another movie
They should just play the animated series every 6 months in theaters
The epitome of bland white folk shyt

yo fukk you nikkas in this forum. I went into this piece of shyt on yalls motherfukking word! I though critics were being critics but this movie was BS man. Y'all hyped me up and this movie let me down! Last time I go on a fukking message board for movie reviews, might as well listen to critics. No one applauded, no one laughed, no one gasped, and no one I saw was on the edge of there sit. They were pretty much right this time ....I left that movie like this :francis:
Literally had random people asking me what was wrong. I really wanted to like this movie too man, what a waste of time for both parties.

And that all goes down right before supes and batman finally have their show down. That was a terrible transition. Killing the momentum.

Then Lois lane bogs down the action to get the spear, almost drowns :snoop: superman gets the spear, almost dies. :snoop: Totally killing the momentum. That stuff annoys me big time

Yo, on some real shyt. Why don't they put the DC animated films on the big screen. They did with Mask of Phantasm. I would have paid to see Flashpoint Paradox and Under The Red Hood on the big screen.

(Do Not read ahead if you have not seen this movie yet...fair warning)

Just got back from seeing the movie. When I bought my tickets online it said most of the space was taken up...but there were still plenty of seats though :patrice:

As a DC comics stan I was mentally picking apart everything in the movie.

For starters this iteration of Batman was my favorite movie portrayal ever. I initially doubted Ben when they casted him but he did an amazing job. I usually don't care much for Batman but this movie made me a fan :leon:

Batman was a straight savage putting work in on nikkas with no remorse. He was kinda Punisher light in this movie :banderas:

The Batcave, his technology, and Alfred were all on point. This is easily the best Batcave ever.

This movies spin on Lex Luthor was quite interesting. It was a complete depart from the formal, regal Lex Luthor that I'm used to seeing. This Lex was quirky, eccentric, and never once made me take him seriously. I guess that's what made him so dangerous though.

They never explained how Lex discovered who Clark's mom was. That was a massive plothole. Superman's secret identity has been a high priority in the comics. But in these movies it's seems like damn near everyone can find out :mjlol:

Mercy Graves was Asian and skinny af :skip:

I have really mixed feelings on Wonder Woman in this movie. Wonder Woman is easily my favorite Superhero. They depicted her as strong on the battlefield. I didn't think the actress would do a good job in that department but she did.

WW had this weird ass accent though. I would understand if it were a Grecian one since she has ties to it...but this accent was random af. Every time she spoke i was like :dahell:

The actress portraying WW doesn't have her physique at all. She's attractive...I will give her that. But she's skinny af and those tight dresses only further exposed that.

Outside of the fight (which i really enjoyed) WW didn't really do much though.

Lois Lane is annoying af. Goodness gracious. I really wish they would've just paired WW/Superman up like they are presently.

Lois Lane's dumbass needed saving throughout the whole movie. I was rooting for someone to finally clap her ass :martin:

The appearance of the JL made sense. I thought it was really forced when I heard all these characters would be appearing in it...but it made sense.

I felt like this movie tried to do too much though. The cramming of Batman vs Superman, WW's appearance, Doomsday....it was all too much for one movie.

Doomsday is a heavy hitter who at least deserves to be the sole villain for one film. It was way too early to introduce him especially in such a bullshyt way :francis:

IMO someone like Metallo should have been the villain in this. When they introduced that guy who lost his legs due to the Kryptonian invasion I thought it would be an excellent choice to use him as Metallo. He would've had a legitimate gripe with Superman and you could've tied the Kryptonite that Lex was trying to bring to the USA with him.

I enjoyed the philosophical undertones of this movie. They really dwelled on the realities of what a being like Superman would mean for the world. There were a lot of religious allegories too.

I enjoyed the Darkseid foreshadowing too. Those Parademons look wavey.

The "darker" tones of these DC movies has been great. While I enjoy Marvel's films nothing seems to be taken seriously in them. Everything is so happy go lucky and full of jokes. They never really explore the ramifications of their heroes actions.

I enjoyed this movie but the ending left a sour taste in my mouth. I'll probably go see this again though before I finally conclude on my opinion.

Respect you analysis.
I will say this about some plot holes and keep in mind we got a director's cut with 30 minutes of extra scenes... but I do not LIKE when everything is spoon fed to me and I get annoyed at movies that try to explain EVERYTHING that doesn't require explanation. Case in point how How Lex Luthor know about Martha Kent. Common sense will tell you that Luthor have the money and the resources to get that information. shyt in Man of Steel, it took Lois Lane just asking a few questions around to deduce who Superman was, where he is from and everything...so how it is NOT impossible for him to figure out Superman's history, especially when he's in a Kryptonian ship that has all of that information on virtually everything. It doesn't need to be explained. We are intelligent enough to figure out things that are common sense and logical.

Gal Gadot is a native born Israeli, so her accent is already unique which benefits to her character Wonder Wonder. But she's not a great actress, but at least she's improving. It was smart for Snyder not have her speak much though.

I feel you on Lois Lane but her relationship with Superman is heavy foreshadowing is it is a necessary possible set up. I would be MORE disappointed if all of that foreshadowing with Lois in this film does not come into fruition in Justice League I or II.

I personally did not like how Doomsday was introduced at all. I LOVE the fight against Doomsday. But I wanted him to be someone, like in the comics, someone that emerged out of nowhere from the Earth and started terrorizing and that bringing in a threat to humanity and a reason why Superman is needed, to which is exactly why people realized the need for Superman... but how he was introduced and how rushed it was wasn't cool with me.

I was actually hoping and would of made more sense that Luthor would of created Brainiac using Zod's DNA.

Movie was dope and worth the wait. It could have been better, but you can say that about 99% of films. This is different than most films because of the fact is like 75 years or so in the making. So much history and everyone feels they know how it should be handled. I mean, ant man (which I love) is in the 80's on RT....but it was not a better film than this was. I give it a 8/10 as a fan, as a critic maybe a 7/10 or 7.5/10. Only reason I think people give it a bad review is because they expected much more than anything Snyder (or most film makers) could deliver.
I have to disagree. Antman was better than this. Off top it was at minimum just as entertaining and it had a coherent and focused storyline which puts it above. If you don't think it was entertaining then that's another thing. But I believe it was. Every time BvS started getting good it would jump to another scene to try to half ass giving depth.

Crazy that a movie about antman was better than a movie starring batman and superman.

Not exactly... but it is heavily influenced. But it is stylistically Frank Miller and subjectively Alan Moore. But the difference is where Mr. Manhattan became devoid of human emotion and the care for humanity, Superman embraces it. Or Rorschach is uncompromising, Batman ends up believing in compromise. Or Ozymandias villainous intentions is for the betterment of humanity, Luthor's intentions is for the betterment for himself.
