I really don't give a fukk:russ: That shyt doesn't mean anything to me man. I enjoyed it and I'm getting more:yeshrug: what more do I need to be worried about?
I been reading reviews and a lot of them seem to be criticizing the movie for not being the movie they want and then adding in the flaws as its not a perfect movie. It's like ok DC universe is more serious and darker than marvel , either accept that or don't review the movie

What about the kids man? Think Of the children fam. I can't take my nephew to see this shyt. Batman running round with a Shotgun like he's Frank Castle. Superman's a fukking a$$hole. Cmon breh.
Kids will like it, but it's a grown persons comic movie. It's Watchmen style, but kids won't give a damn about Batman bodying people.

I seen it twice and sat right next to kids way under 13 years of age and they were all into it..... that overprotective shyt need to be tossed out.

Breh My nephew is Nine. nikka wanna see colorful shyt. Ya'll shyt on Marvel, but its a reason MOST movies that are shot like this are rated R and generally watched by a mostly adult audience. Now I'm sure you'll get a few kids here and there, but kids for the most part don't wanna see no dark ass movie(Color Palette) like Sucker Punch or Saving Private Ryan. And you know what, I can get why critics aren't feeling that shyt. Ya'll aren't viewing that shyt as casual fans. "Dark, Chaotic, and Joyless" to quote one critic. Would you all not say this sums up the movie perfectly?

I saw so many kids at my screening. So. Many. Kids

I'm not shytting on Marvel because for the most part, Im down for every flick they make. But I'm saying that I don't give a shyt if a kid can watch it or not. That's every parents job to do that. Not mine. That's not the job of a critic to give a movie a lower grade because "what about the children?" that's asinine unless it's a kids movie. If this movie were "The Flintstones" then yeah, there's a reason for a critic to say that the movie doesn't seem to know what audience its targeting but this isn't the flinstones and this movie knows exactly who its targeting

The Truth
First off, Snyder has a hard on for Frank Miller:russ: like seriously. But I get it, we all got people who influenced us and with that said, I really liked this movie. My boy and I saw it and we both walked away liking it with a lot to talk about. It's not a perfect flick by any means, but it does a lot more good than bad. I loved the philosophical/political shyt going on in the first half of it, especially with the current political climate we're in. Superman operating unchecked, an alien being making us feel less inferior, Batman clearly being driven to the point of being psychotic and his vigilantism not being in check either. It's got more in common with Snyder's Watchmen than Man of Steel and that's always a plus. It's not an easy flick to digest at all. Batman is dope and Ben definitely crushed the buildings. Wonder Woman was also very cool and her theme music is:ohlawd:. Jesse's Lex is hit or miss with me. There are moments where I really like what he's doing and moments where I feel like he's doing too much and goes a tad overboard but his reason for hating Superman is developed really well and in a way, he and bruce have similar reasons. But there's a nice theological thread that the movie has that I also respond to but that's probably because I'm a religious cat. And Bruce's visions were:leon:. Those visions along with seeing the trinity together got me really hype for Justice League

The Doomsday CGI and damn near all of the CGI in that fight is terrible, theres some narrative issues it has and for anyone wondering, it's definitely a batman movie more than a superman movie. I don't see that as a flaw but I know it'll rub some people the wrong way. It's a ballsy comic book flick and I appreciate it. 7.5 or 8/10. Good, not great, but in no way trash.

Also, the way the batmobile goes to the cave:banderas::whoo:
Perfect description breh

HOUS-e-
Just got back and all i have to say is :wow:.....As a comic book fan i'm lowkey pissed...Pissed at the fact that this movie shouldn't have got the hate it got I mean i do understand that as the casual movie goer most folks aren't going to understand some of those out of place scenes
The flash traveling through time to get to Bruce, and the Knightmare scene
if you ARE a comic fan you will understand what they're setting up in the future. But I could be going over the rails here but it has to be in the top 10 in my personal opinion all of the connections and everything in the movie from start to finish this version of Lex was a little over the top but he brought some energy into the character. It was amazing to see Batman,Superman, and Wonder Woman(who everyone lost their shyt when she really got turnt later in the movie) together for the first time. I just feel that somebody paid critics under the table to shyt on this movie..This movie has to get good reviews through word of mouth not take the critics word for it all so #fukkthecritics #BatmanVSuperman going to see it again this weekend it was really that good some parts i just marveled in awe:mjcry::wow:

Nah bret lol not in the industry. I was just a journalist for a bit and do more hip hop journalism now along with my big boy government job. BUT ultimately from what I can gather from the reviews that don't like it that I've read: it's not the movie they want it to be. They want something with a bit more humor to it and something a bit lighter and more in line with what Marvel is doing. Read the Deadline review, who is a guy in the industry, and he has his feelings on why people are down on it

and you know what's crazy? Starting with Winter Soldier and Age of Ultron, Marvel is starting to go the darker route.. hell, the trailer for Civil War shows Bucky trying to pop Stark in the face and the plotline parallels BvS in regards to public perception on heroes :snoop:

But ITS NOT JUST THE KIDS. It's the CASUALS breh. take a brawd to the film and the first thing she gonna say is, That ain't Superman or When did batman start killing people or Why they fighting. Pops and moms won't even go because the idea of Batman fighting Superman is insanely stupid to them. These are casuals breh.

I'm not disagreeing with you. However this begs the question, do comic book movies absolutely unequivocally HAVE to be geared primarily to kids?

We've gotten passed this in gaming which is why Nintendo has fallen behind. It seems that to a lot of people CBMs have not gotten to this point. Why is that?

No I'm mean DARK. like literally Dark like how the film is shot. Shot like it's a big budget production of a fukking funeral Dark.
